A first and a second tubular member are welded to opposite sides of a stiffening ring in order to obtain a double-segment. Further segments can be added to form a tubular multi-segment with stiffening rings in between adjacent tubular members. The resulting multi-segment is used as a tubular buoyancy module in a floating offshore structure.

Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to offshore frame construction. In one example embodiment, an offshore frame construction is disclosed including structural members and a structural joint connecting the structural members. The structural joint includes a fork part, an ear part, and a pin, where the fork part and the ear part includes a bore, and the pin is inserted into the bore. The pin has a non-corroding surface that is a cladding or bushing welded or shrunk or glued or otherwise affixed to the pin which consists of a different material, or the non-corroding surface is continuous with the pin and the pin consists of the non-corroding material. In some specific embodiments, the bore includes a sliding surface, which is fitted with a liner acting as a bearing, and the bearing is an elastomeric bearing.

Provided is a floating wind turbine including a hull, a wind turbine mounted on top of the hull and a counterweight suspended below the hull by a counterweight suspension is described. Also, a method for the installation is described. The counterweight includes one or more counterweight buoyancy tanks. When the internal volume of the buoyancy tanks is filled with air, the total buoyancy of the counterweight is close to or greater than its weight. Hereby it is capable of floating in a towing/maintenance position with moderate or no support in the vertical direction from the hull or other vessels. During towing, the hull substantially has the character of a barge, substantially relying on a large waterplane area and shallow draft to maintain stability.

A method for manufacturing a component for a wind turbine is provided. In a first step, a fiber material is laid onto a mold surface. In a further step, an uncured foam material is provided on top of the fiber material. Thereafter, the uncured foam material is cured to form a core member. In a method for exhaust gas aftertreatment, in which an exhaust gas to be aftertreated, which is produced during combustion of a fuel, is treated with a reducing agent. The hydrogen is produced from water, and the reducing agent is a mixture of hydrogen and ammonia.
