The present disclosure relates to transmitting synchronization signals and in particular to so called beam sweep. In particular the disclosure relates to methods for providing synchronization using synchronization sequences that are transmitted at different points in time. The disclosure also relates to corresponding devices and computer programs. A method in a network node, for transmitting synchronization sequences of a synchronization signal to one or more receiving wireless devices, comprises determining multiple synchronization sequences, such that each synchronization sequence comprises a respective timing indication, whereby each synchronization sequence enables determination of a time of an event in a receiving wireless device and transmitting the synchronization sequences to the one or more wireless devices, at different points in time.

Network architecture, methods, and devices for a wireless communications network

There is disclosed a method of operating a terminal () in a wireless communication network, the method comprising receiving and/or transmitting according to a transmission time interval, TTI, configuration, the TTI configuration indicating at least one short transmitting time interval having between one or two and seven symbols of duration in a subframe. There are also disclosed related methods and devices.

Short TTI patterns

The disclosure relates to signalling of transmissions with shortened TTI. The disclosure further relates to an RBS and a method performed at the RBS of scheduling resources for a wireless communication device. The disclosure still further relates to a wireless communication device and a method performed at the wireless communication device of being granted data transmission or data reception. In a first aspect of the disclosure, a method performed at an RBS is provided for scheduling resources for a wireless communication device including indicating a grant of a resource for the wireless communication device to transmit or receive data based on DCI and a position of the DCI within a data frame of a downlink control channel.

Signaling of transmissions with shortened TTI

Systems and methods for relocating network nodes are provided herein. A network node can determine that relocation of at least one access node in the access network is required. An access node, such an IAB node with mobile capabilities, can be selected to be relocated from a first position to a second position. Relocation messages and parameters can be signaled between the network and the access node.

Dynamic relocation of nodes in a cellular network

A user equipment () is provided for use in a cellular network. The user equipment includes a transceiver (), a processor (), and a memory (). The user equipment () is configured to determine, for a data transmission, a mapping form a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) to a PNT-RS. Multi-beam random access procedure in handover execution

Systems and methods are disclosed for transmission and reception of an uplink grant during a gap created in radio resources assigned by a previous multiple Transmit Time Interval (multi-TTI) uplink grant in a system operating according to a Time Division Duplexing (TDD) scheme. In one embodiment, a method of operation of a wireless device operating according to a TDD scheme in a cellular communications network includes: receiving a first uplink grant from a radio network node that assigns first radio resources for a first multiple transmit time interval uplink transmission, the first radio resources comprising a set of consecutive subframes; and interrupting an uplink transmission on the first radio resources during a gap in the first radio resources assigned for the first multiple transmit time interval uplink transmission, the gap comprising a time domain gap within the set of consecutive subframes.

Uplink multi-TTI scheduling in TDD system

Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications network, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes determining a reporting quality threshold for a parameter related to channel state information (CSI); performing a measurement for each of a plurality of beams from a first predetermined set of beams for evaluation; evaluating the measurement for each of the plurality of beams against the reporting quality threshold; discontinuing the performing and evaluating of measurements in response to determining that the reporting quality threshold is met for one of the beams, such that one or more beams in the first predetermined set of beams are not measured and evaluated; and reporting, to the wireless communications network, CSI for the one of the beams.

According to some embodiments, a method for use in a wireless communication network includes a wireless device receiving, from a network, a configuration corresponding to a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH). The wireless device receives, from the network via Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling, a bitmap that provides an indication of time locations corresponding to synchronization signal (SS) blocks. The wireless device determines, based on the configuration and the bitmap, a time slot that does not overlap with the time locations to perform a PRACH transmission during the determined time slot.

Configuring random access channels for wireless communications

It is presented a method performed by a network node of a wireless communication network for scheduling a wireless device in uplink. An uplink signal structure is configured to be used by the wireless device and the network node, wherein the uplink signal structure defines transmission subframes divided into symbol periods. The network node applies a short Transmission Time Interval, sTTI, scheduling interval, wherein each sTTI is shorter in time than a subframe and each sTTI comprises at least one symbol period. The method comprises: transmitting a control information message to the wireless device for an sTTI scheduling interval, the control information message comprising uplink scheduling information assigned to the wireless device, the uplink scheduling information indicating a position and a length for at least one of a reference signal and data in the uplink sTTI.

The UCI and the data payload may be sent via the physical uplink shared channel with a slot/subslot transmission or a short transmission time interval (sTTI).

The embodiments herein relate to timing advance offset for uplink/downlink switching in New Radio (NR). In one embodiment, there proposes a method in a wireless communication device, comprising: determining a timing advance (TA) offset for uplink/downlink switching, wherein the TA offset is at least based on the time offset requirement for uplink/downlink switching in different scenarios used in communication between the wireless communication device and a network node; applying the determined TA offset in the uplink communication from the wireless communication device to the network node. According to certain embodiments, a method in a network node comprises determining () whether an additional synchronization signal should be transmitted to one or more wireless devices. The method further comprises transmitting () an indication whether the additional synchronization signal is available for use.
