An uplink transmission energy from the one or more UEs is detected and it is decided whether the detected uplink transmission energy from the respective one or more UEs is above or below a first threshold. When the detected uplink transmission energy from any of the one or more UEs is above the first threshold, the radio unit sends the FD data representing those respective one or more UEs to the central control unit. When the detected uplink transmission energy from any of the one or more UEs is below the first threshold, the radio unit sends a message to the central control unit which message indicates that no FD data will be sent representing those respective one or more UEs. The radio unit also refrains from sending the FD data representing those respective one or more UEs to the central control unit.

Central control unit, radio unit and methods in a wireless communications network

There is provided a method for controlling interference in a received signal when scheduling in a network node for wireless communication with a set of user equipment's, UEs, said set comprising a first UE and at least a second UE, wherein the interference is passive-intermodulation interference, PIM. The method comprises receiving a scheduling request from at least the first UE transmitting on a first frequency and scheduling at least the first UE based on an interference scenario report and available PIM cancellation resources to enable efficient PIM control. The method is performed by a control device.

Method and device for controlling interference in a received signal when scheduling

There are provided mechanisms for configuring resolution of uplink data. An exemplary radio equipment controller (REC) of an access node includes an interface (RCE-RE interface) to a radio equipment (RE) and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to cause the REC to provide instructions to the RE regarding a resolution in time and/or frequency domain with which beam direction reports are to be transmitted to the REC on the REC-RE interface. The beam direction reports are based on uplink appointed reference symbols for sounding received by the RE on a radio interface and is to be transmitted from the RE to the REC. The REC may thus configure the resolution of the beam direction reports that are received by the REC.

Configuration of resolution of uplink data

There is provided mechanisms for scheduling subframes at protocol layer L1. The method is performed by a network device. A method comprises obtaining, at the protocol layer L1, an indication of an occurrence of Listen Before Talk (LBT) failure for transmission of a subframe in an unlicensed frequency spectrum. The method comprises storing, in an L1 buffer, data of the subframe to be transmitted in the unlicensed frequency spectrum as a result thereof.

Scheduling of subframes at protocol layer L1

A method for configuring an RE of an access node, performed by an REC of the access node. The REC has an REC-RE interface to the RE. The method comprises determining scheduling and allocation of radio resources. The radio resources are to be used by the RE when communicating over a radio interface in a scheduled TTI. The method comprises configuring, in advance of the scheduled TTI, the RE to, in the scheduled TTI, operate according to the determined allocation of radio resources and communicate with the REC according to the determined scheduling. The method comprises communicating data with the RE in the scheduled TTI according to the determined scheduling.

Configuration of a radio equipment of an access node

A method for configuring resolution of uplink data, performed by an REC of an access node. The REC has an REC-RE interface to an RE of the access node. The method comprises providing instructions to the RE regarding with which resolution in time and/or frequency domain the uplink data is to be transmitted to the REC on the REC-RE interface. The uplink data is received by the RE on a radio interface and is to be transmitted from the RE to the REC. The REC thereby configures the resolution of the uplink data.

In cellular radio systems it is a problem to provide service to UE (user equipment) on the cell border. In systems that apply a frequency re-use of one, and OFDM access technology, the uplink direction need be improved. One embodiment of this application relates to a radio base station that is equipped with one or more FFT processor/s in addition to the FFT-processor that is adapted for being adjusted to the timed aligned arrival of signals from UE served by the radio base station. The additional FFT processor/s is adapted for being adjusted to the arrival of one or more signals from UE that are served by other radio base station/s. The radio base station is further adapted to send Fourier processed signal information relating to the UE of the other radio base station/s and thereby assist the other radio base station in signal reception. The application also relates to a method for assisting another radio base station in signal reception, and to a method for receiving assistance from another radio base station in signal reception.

Method for a radio base station and a radio base station in a communication network system for assisting in or obtaining assistance in the UL reception of signals

The invention relates to a method in a base station for handling a request from a user equipment for accessing a service in a radio communications network, the method comprising the steps of receiving a first wide time interval () of an incoming signal () comprising a first signal sent from the user equipment, the first signal extending along a first narrow time interval () being a part of the first wide time interval, the first narrow time interval of the first signal being a possible service access request message; searching the first wide time interval () and detecting that the first signal is a possible service access request message; and identifying how the first narrow time interval () of the first signal relates to the first wide time interval (). The relationship will be the same for subsequent time intervals of the incoming signal ().

Method for determining a subsequent time interval relationship, for service request messages, from a user equipment

A method for estimating a plurality of delay values in a multi-path communication signal. Correlation values are generated that correspond to a plurality of delay values associated with the multi-path communication signal. A first power-delay profile (PDP) sequence is produced from the correlation values and is used to estimate a first delay value. A first reference PDP sequence is generated based on a predefined PDP sequence and the first PDP sequence. The first reference PDP sequence is removed from the first PDP sequence so as to remove at least a portion of the contributions to the first PDP sequence from the first delay value, and to provide a second PDP sequence. A second value is estimated based on the second PDP sequence.
