A catheter product suitable for storage until use includes a user package sealed inside a product package. The user package has a film forming an enclosure containing a urinary catheter having a hydrophilic coating and a water-based liquid in direct contact with the hydrophilic coating on the urinary catheter. The product package has a first water vapour transmission rate (first WVTR) that configures the product package to be porous to water vapor to allow water vapor from the water-based liquid that exits the user package during storage to pass through the product package to adapt the user package to be dry to touch when a user opens the product package.

A urinary catheter assembly includes a first outer package having a first material, a second inner package contained inside of the first outer package, and an intermediate cavity defined as an area inside the first outer package and outside the second inner package. The first material has a first water vapour transmission rate (WVTR) measured according to ASTM F1249 at 90% relative humidity (RH) and 38° C. between 1 g/(m2·24 h) and 6 g/(m2·24 h). The second inner package has a second material having a second WVTR measured according to test method A at 65% RH and 30° C. below 3 g/(m2·24 h). The second inner package contains a swelling medium and an intermittent urinary catheter with a hydrophilic coating.

Intermittent urinary catheter assembly

A urinary catheter assembly is provided. The catheter assembly has a first outer package (), which contains a second inner package (). The second inner package includes a hydrophilic coated, intermittent catheter) and liquid swelling medium. The first outer package is made of a first material with a WVTR value between 1 and 6 g/(m&#xb7;24 h) and the second inner package is made of a second material with a second WVTR value below 3 g/(m&#xb7;24 h). An intermediate cavity () is defined inside the first outer package, but outside the second inner package. The first and second WVTR-values are balanced in such a way that the relative humidity (RH) is below 90% in the intermediate cavity. This prevents condensation on the inner surface of the first outer package and on the outer surface of the second inner package.

The invention relates to a hearing device that comprises a data interface for receiving data and a memory unit for storing data. The memory unit comprises a non-static section and a static section. The static section comprises a unique key that is unique for the specific hearing device. The hearing device further comprises a verifier that is configured to process the unique key and a second key contained in first type data received via the data interface in order to determine whether the second key needs a verification criterion with respect to the unique key. The verifier is further configured to discard received first type data in the non-static section of the memory unit if the second key contained in received data does not meet the verification criterion with respect to the unique key stored in the static section of the memory unit.

Programmable hearing device and method of programming a hearing device

A device includes a rolled tubular section and at least two strips rolled together with the tubular section. The strips extend from a rim of the tubular section and are spaced a distance apart from each other, with at least a portion of an inside area of the tubular section provided with an adhesive. When rolled, the adhesive on the inside area of the tubular section contacts at least a part of one of the two strips and the two strips form a path along the tubular section. Each of the two strips has a release layer that is configured to provide each of the two strips with a release value away from the adhesive on the inside of the tubular section of between 15-50 dynes.

Unrolling strips

A packaged incontinence treatment device includes a catheter enclosed in a package having a closure jaw. The package has a lower portion coupled to an upper portion by a hinge plate that forms a rear wall of the package. The hinge plate allows the upper portion to pivot away from the lower portion to open the package. The closure jaw includes a first wall that is attached to the lower portion by a hinge line and an overlap wall that is attached to the first wall by a front wall. The overlap wall is releasably secured to the upper portion of the package.

Incontinence treatment device package

A catheter assembly comprising a urinary catheter and a package with flexible walls is provided. Coupling means in form of a first coupling member on the catheter and a second coupling member on the package is further provided. The coupling means are in form of a protrusion or depression on the second coupling member and a matching depression or protrusion on the first coupling member. The user may move the catheter in and out of the package without touching the catheter itself, thus eliminating or minimizing the risk of contamination of the catheter.

Urinary catheter assembly

The urisheath provided here includes an element of thin material (a strip) that allows at least two lengths of it to run in a parallel fashion down either side of the sheath. The is obtained by injection molding the strip in liquid silicone in the silicone injection molding process for the urisheath, either by one, two or more component injection molding. The injection molding takes place in an injection molding form for a urisheath with a cavity for the body portion and a cavity for the strip portion wherein the cavity for the body portion is connected to the cavity for the strip portion creating an attachment zone between the strip and the sheath.

A method and injection machine for producing a hollow product, such as a urisheath, use of the method for producing a urisheath as well as the urisheath. The machine comprises an annular cavity for receiving a silicone material. The material is injected in a cold state via a coldrun nozzle () and cured by heat in the cavity. The cavity has a narrow cross-sectional area over a substantial portion of the cavity and the cavity is connected to a venting area (). The cavity has an annular enlarged portion () at the proximal portion of the cavity, arranged adjacent said inlet () and a groove () at the distal portion of the cavity. The narrow cross-sectional area has a decreasing radial dimension towards the distal portion of the cavity. The surface of the cavity is grit blasted.

Method and machine for producing a hollow product

By using an oxidative process, it is possible to apply an adhesive material to silicone. The process is controlled, allowing selective oxidative treatment to a silicone structure, thus enabling treatment to the inside of a tubular structure.

Silicone urisheath with integrated adhesive

A packaged incontinence treatment device includes a catheter and a package. The catheter has a distal tubular portion that is connected to a sheath with a portion of the sheath rolled to provide a proximal collar. The package encloses the catheter and includes a lower portion coupled to an upper portion by a hinge plate. The hinge plate is adapted to allow the upper portion to pivot away from the lower portion to provide an opened package configuration and to allow the upper portion to pivot toward the lower portion to provide a closed package configuration. The package has a retainer protrusion extending from an interior surface of the package that is engaged with the proximal collar of the catheter and retains the proximal collar in the lower portion of the package.

Male incontinence product and package therefor

The device comprises a body for arrangement in the vagina for compressive action on and support of the neck of the bladder and optionally the urethra. The body has a substantially elongated shape with a longitudinal axis extending, in the intended direction of insertion, from a proximal to a distal end, and is made from a compressive and elastically deformable material. The body comprises at least one part protruding from the outer surface of the body and providing at least one pressure area for contact with the neck of the bladder and optionally the urethra.

Device for prevention of involuntary urination

An external urinary catheter for the relief of male urinary incontinence is provided. The catheter comprises a contact member which is adapted to be engaged with at least the extreme portion of a penis, said contact member being connected to a discharge conduit via an opening in the distal end section of the contact member. The catheter is provided with an aperture. A membrane, which is capable of selectively passing gases but retaining urine, is fastened to the surface surrounding the aperture. The membrane is at least partly protected by a shield. At least one vent for allowing gases to be in substantially unhindered contact with the external surface of the membrane is arranged in the catheter.
