A locking mechanism for a shoulder strap of a backpack is disclosed which has guiding means, retaining means, and engaging means, where the engaging means is rotatable about an axis and slidably guided along the guiding means, where in a first rotational position the engaging means engages the retaining means so that a sliding movement of the engaging means along the guiding means is restricted, and where in a second rotational position the engaging means disengages the retaining means so that a sliding movement of the engaging means along the guiding means is enabled.

Locking mechanism of a backpack

A lid of a backpack is disclosed having a compartment in which a standalone daysack having a shoulder strap is arranged. The compartment is transformable from a first state in which the lid is mountable to a backpack to a second state in which the standalone daysack is usable independently from the backpack. In the first state, the standalone daysack and its shoulder strap are stored within the compartment. In the second state, the compartment is inverted by turning the inside out so that the shoulder strap is usable for carrying the standalone daysack.

A carrier frame for a child carrier is disclosed. The carrier frame includes a first frame element and a second frame element hingedly coupled to the first frame element about a hinge axis. The first frame element includes a main frame and an adjustable support. The adjustable support extends in a first direction substantially parallel to the hinge axis and is movable in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the hinge axis. The second frame element comprises a transition portion and a backrest portion. An angle is formed between the backrest portion and the transition portion. The transition portion has a width in the first direction smaller than a maximum width of the carrier frame.

Backpack

A backpack with a torso length adjustment mechanism is provided. The backpack includes a holder fixedly connected to a bag, a mesh back support having a back mesh contactable to the back of the user and a supporting element for spacedly supporting the back mesh on the holder. The backpack includes a shoulder strap length adjusting mechanism having a force transmitting element for transmitting a force from the holder to the shoulder straps of the backpack. The force transmitting element is lockably movable on the holder between a first position in which a size of the shoulder straps is the largest and a second position in which the size of the shoulder straps is the smallest. The shoulder strap length adjusting mechanism includes a locking mechanism at the holder for releasably locking a movement of the force transmitting element.
