A closure latch assembly for a decklid configured to provide a power release operation and a power cinch operation. The closure latch assembly includes a latch mechanism, a latch cinch mechanism, a drive mechanism, and a power actuator. The power actuator interacts with the drive mechanism to provide a power release of the latch mechanism and a power cinch of the latch cinch mechanism.

A locking device for a vehicle door, in particular for a motor-vehicle bonnet, comprising a first inhibiting pawl prestressed into an inhibiting position, wherein a rotary latch can be arrested in a locking position by the first inhibiting pawl located in its inhibiting position, and a second inhibiting pawl prestressed into an inhibiting position, wherein the rotary latch can be arrested in a safety-catch position by the second inhibiting pawl located in its inhibiting position. The first and second inhibiting pawls can be transferred from their respective inhibiting position into a release position by a common actuating means.

Locking device for a vehicle door, and method

A power actuator for actuating separate mechanically driven members includes a motor and a drive gear configured to be selectively driven in opposite directions. A common gear is configured in operable communication with the drive gear to be selectively driven from a home position in opposite directions in response to movement of the drive gear. A first drive member is attached to the common gear with a first cable extending between the first drive member and one of the mechanically driven members. A second drive member is attached to the common gear with a second cable extending between the second drive member and the other of the mechanically driven members. Movement of the common gear from the home position in one direction moves of one mechanically driven member and movement of the common gear from the home position in an opposite direction moves the other mechanically driven member.

Power actuator having cam-driven dual cable actuation mechanism for use with vehicular closure latch assembly

A closure latch assembly for a decklid configured to provide a power release operation and a power cinch operation. The power cinch operation is a dual-stage cinch operation having a first non-driven cinching stage and a second driven cinching stage. The first cinching stage utilizes the weight of the decklid to drive the decklid from a pop-up position to a cinched position. The second cinching stage utilizes a cinch mechanism to drive the decklid from its cinched position into a fully-closed position.

A latch assembly having an emergency auxiliary release member located in a stowage compartment of a motor vehicle, such as a front trunk, is provided. The latch assembly has a coupling lever that is actuatable to move to a disengaged position if a predetermined condition is met, such as and engine on/off condition or a vehicle speed condition, for example, whereupon the latch assembly is prevented from being fully release, but only allows the latch assembly to move to a partially released state. Upon the predetermined condition be absent, the coupling lever is returned to a position such that the latch assembly can then be fully released from either a passenger compartment of the vehicle or the trunk.
