Transition piece for a wind turbine

A method for mounting a wind turbine blade to a wind turbine hub by use of a crane boom is provided. The orientation of the blade is kept substantially horizontal when the blade is lifted off the ground and mounted to the rotor hub. Control wires which connect the blade via the crane boom to a winch arrangement are used for keeping the blade orientation substantially horizontal in addition to at least one bearing wire for bearing the blade weight.

Device for mounting of wind turbine blades

A plurality of piles is arranged in frame elements in an axially displaceable manner. Hammers are positioned on the piles. After driving of the piles into a seabed, the hammers are connected to the frame elements, wherein the frame elements together with the hammers are lifted to the surface of the water and to the seaborne vessel by a crane.

Method and device for mounting of wind turbine blades

An arrangement for transporting a rotor of a wind turbine at sea is provided. The arrangement includes a vessel having a deck. Moreover, the arrangement includes at least one rotor including a hub and at least one blade affixed to the hub. The hub is positioned on the deck in such a way that the at least one blade is at least partially located above the sea surface and that the center axis of the hub is tilted in relation to the deck so as to increase the distance between the at least one blade and the sea surface. Furthermore, a method for transporting a wind turbine rotor at sea on a vessel having a deck is also provided.
