The present disclosure relates to an asymmetric illumination lens and an illumination system implementing at least one such lens, for example for illuminating a stadium play field.

Asymmetric illumination lens

The present invention relates to an optical touch-sensitive device and a method of determining a position and determining a position change of an object contacting an optical touch sensitive device. In particular, the present invention relates to an optical touch pad and a method of determining a position and determining a position change of an object contacting an optical touch pad. A touch-sensitive device, according to the present invention may comprise a light source, a touch-sensitive waveguide, a detector array, and a first light redirecting member, wherein at least a part of the light propagating towards a specific point of the detector array is prevented from being incident upon the specific point of the detector array when an object contacts a touch-sensitive surface of the touch-sensitive waveguide at a corresponding specific contact point.

Touch-sensitive device

The present invention relates to an illumination control system comprising a plurality of outdoor luminaries and a motorized service vehicle. Each luminaire comprises a controllable light source producing a light illuminance. The motorized service vehicle comprises a light sensor configured to detect the light illuminance generated by the controllable light source at the motorized service vehicle. The motorized service vehicle computes light illuminance data based on the detected light illuminance and transmits these to the outdoor luminaire through a wireless communication link or stores the light illuminance data on a data recording device of the motorized service vehicle. The outdoor luminaire receives may use the light illuminance data to set or adjust a light illuminance of the controllable light source.

Lighting system with illuminance control

The present invention relates to a method () and device () for detecting presence of an object () by means of influencing propagation of light () arriving to a detector (). The device () for detecting presence of the object () at the device () comprises a light source (), a first redirecting structure (), a second redirecting structure (), and a light detector device (). The light source () is adapted to emit light () towards the first redirecting structure (), which is adapted to redirect light () from the light source () towards the second redirecting structure (), which is adapted to return light () from the first redirecting structure () back towards the first redirecting structure (), which is adapted to redirect light () from the second redirecting structure () towards the light detector device (). Device and method for detecting presence of an object

The present invention relates to a device for encoding a position of an object, comprising a first light source; a first collimating element adapted to form first collimated light from the first light source; a carrier adapted to guide light and comprising a first primary light redirecting structure and a second primary light redirecting structure; and a detector device for encoding the position of an object with respect to an active area of an encoding plane; wherein the first primary light redirecting structure is adapted to redirect at least a part of a first light beam through the active area into the second primary light redirecting structure; and wherein the second primary light redirecting structure is adapted to redirect light received from the first primary light redirecting structure onto the detector device. Thereby is achieved that a collimated light beam is propagated along the carrier and from the carrier into the active area via the first primary light redirecting means. The collimated light ensures a controlled part of the carrier is utilized for the propagation of the collimated light.

Device, a system and a method of encoding a position of an object

The present invention relates to an encoding device, such as an optical position encoder, for encoding input from an object, and a method for encoding input from an object, for determining a position of an object that interferes with light of the device. The encoding device comprises a light source, a waveguide, a number of redirecting structures, and a detector. By means of the waveguide and the number of redirecting structures, light from the light source is guided towards the detector along a path that includes traversing an area in a space next to the planar waveguide. An object may be positioned in the area in the space and may interfere with the light, which interference may be encoded into a position or activation.

Encoding device and a method of encoding

A method for in vitro selection, from a library of catalyst molecules, of a catalyst molecule of interest having a relatively more efficient specific catalytic activity of interest, as compared to the rest of the catalyst molecules within said library, and wherein said in vitro selection method is characterized by that it allows multiple catalytic activity turn-overs (i.e. substrate to product catalytic activity turn-overs), by the catalyst molecule of interest, before it is finally collected. The method is based on using one or more reagent(s) which are capable of converting a product generated by a catalyst molecule of interest back into the substrate for said catalyst of interest.

The present invention provides configurations and a method of formation of optical coupling elements for surface plasmon resonance sensors. In the method of the present invention, interference patterns between two overlapping monochromatic coherent light beams are created on a photosensitive film disposed on a master substrate. At least one of the light beams has an oblique angle of incidence onto the master substrate, and the focal points of the two overlapping light beams are positioned in order to reduce optical aberrations up to third order. After developing the photosensitive film, the surface relief patterns pattern created on the master substrate is replicated as diffractive optical element onto SPR sensor chips. The diffractive optical elements working as optical coupling elements diffract an incoming light beam into an oblique angle within the range from 40 to &tilde;80 degrees.
