The present invention relates to an enema nozzle () for an enema system, and wherein said enema nozzle () comprises a catheter () provided with a flexible retention member () arranged for retaining the enema nozzle in a body cavity in a retention stage, and wherein said retention member is only partially filled with a liquid () in the retention stage. The combination of a flexible retention member () that is only partially filled with a liquid (), ensures that the liquid contained in the retention member easily can be displaced/moved around inside the retention member () during use. In this way the retention member () remains pliable and flexible enough to be able to conform and adapt to the shape of the colon during use.

A hand-operated flow regulator is adapted to be inserted between an elastomeric bulb pump and a tubing as a part of an enema flow path. The hand-operated flow regulator comprises a main flow body, and a tubular pump coupling end part having a free pump coupling end and defining a first flow section. The tubular pump coupling end part extends via an exterior regulator body part into a tubular tube coupling end part having a free tube coupling end and defining a second flow section. An interior regulator body part is situated rotatable and substantially coaxially inside the exterior regulator body part, and a pivotable grip is in operative communication with the interior regulator body part to open and close the enema flow path.

Hand-operated flow regulator and enema administration system comprising said regulator

Provided is an enema nozzle for an enema device. Said enema nozzle includes an insertion body with a flexible insertion tip. The flexible insertion tip is located at the insertion end of the insertion body, and said tip will flex when it abuts intestinal tissue. This will provide a smoother insertion, which effectively will alleviate the physical discomfort and pain that a patient may expire during insertion of an enema nozzle.

Enema nozzle and an enema device comprising said enema nozzle

The present invention relates to a self-retaining enema nozzle () and an enema system () comprising said enema nozzle. The enema nozzle () comprises a catheter () provided with a retention member () arranged for being placed in a compact form during insertion in a body cavity and for being placed in an expanded form for retaining the enema nozzle in said body cavity, and wherein the enema nozzle () further comprises a restriction unit () arranged for placing the retention member () in its compact form. Since the restriction unit () holds, e.g. keeps, places and/or maintains the retention member () in the compact form both before and during insertion, any discomfort and/or harm that may be experienced using the conventional enema nozzles/devices is effectively prevented.

A catheter for use with an injection apparatus, preferably for rectal irrigation. The catheter has a main body with a funnel-shaped part delimited by an annular funnel wall which tapers into an elongate tubular catheter part delimited by an annular catheter wall. The main body accommodates at least a liquid flow channel and a fluid flow channel and the liquid flow channel is adapted to expel a liquid via at least one injection opening in a free end of the elongate tubular catheter part opposite the funnel-shaped part. An expandable balloon surrounds an elongate fixation section of the elongate tubular catheter part a distance from its free end, and the fluid flow channel is adapted to, via at least one delivery opening provided in the annular catheter wall of the elongate fixation section of the elongate tubular catheter part, deliver a fluid to the expandable balloon.

A tube coupling system serves for providing annular flow through a flexible annular double lumen tube between fluid reservoir(s) and flexible connection pieces of an annular double lumen device. The tube coupling system has a first coupling component and a second coupling component and an end fitting system. The first coupling component that has a female coupling part and a male coupling part adapted for coupling to a proximal end of the flexible annular double lumen tube. The second coupling component has a second interior pipe that axially extends inside a second exterior pipe, a first end fitting adapted for coupling to at least the female coupling part of the first coupling component, and a second end fitting adapted for coupling to any of the flexible annular double lumen tube or the flexible connection pieces of an annular double lumen device.

An irrigation device that includes a reservoir for an irrigating liquid, a catheter in liquid communication with the reservoir, a fixation member for fixation of the catheter and a control unit. The control unit is arranged for in a first position transferring the irrigation liquid to the fixation member and in a second position transferring the irrigation liquid to the catheter. Thereby is provided a simple, inexpensive and essentially maintenance free device which can be used for administrating an irrigation liquid, and which at the same time comprises a fixation member that will not be expelled from the body cavity by e.g. a peristaltic reflex, during use.

Irrigation device and method of using the device

An intestinal irrigation device that includes a waste collection bag and a rectal catheter. The rectal catheter has a first end for coupling with the waste collection bag and a free end for insertion into the rectum, while the waste collection bag has a first wall circumferentially united with an opposing second wall and an inlet opening for irrigated waste. The inlet opening has a first coupling part for coupling the rectal catheter into fluid communication with the bag, and the bag has a second coupling part inside it for mating the first coupling part. The device provides a time saving alternative to known devices, and no odor emissions and unpleasant smell is recognized during the irrigation procedure.

Intestinal irrigation device and method of using the device

A drainage valve that has an inlet and outlet openings extending in opposite directions from a valve housing, a movable valve member within the housing and an operating lever connected to the valve member. The valve member is movable between an open position in which the valve member is arranged to permit flow through the valve and a closed position where the valve member prevents flow through the valve. The valve member is configured such that the valve member is moved from the closed position to an open position by rotating the operating lever by a first rotating angle between about 2 degrees to about 80 degrees. This provides a simple and inexpensive drainage valve, where patients having an extremely limited dexterity will only need to rotate the operating lever a few degrees before a flow path is such that drainage can begin.
