A hearing aid having one or more biometrical sensors, where the hearing aid comprises at least one microphone configured to receive a sound of the surroundings, a signal processor configured to process the sound received from the microphone and a speaker unit configuration configured to emit the processed sound into the ear of a user, wherein one or more sensors is positioned substantially in the ear together with at least a part of the hearing aid, wherein the one or more sensors is configured as biometrical sensors configured for recording health data of a hearing aid user.

Hearing aid comprising one or more sensors for biometrical measurements

A hearing aid device is disclosed. The hearing aid device comprises means to improve, augment and/or protect the hearing capability of a user by receiving acoustic signals from the surroundings of the user, generating corresponding audio signals, possibly modifying the audio signals and providing the possibly modified audio signals as audible signals to at least one of the user's ears. The hearing aid device comprises a sensor member for detecting the movement and/or acceleration and/or orientation (or spatial position) of the hearing aid device. The hearing aid device comprises at least two hearing aid microphones and a control unit for determining the position or a deviation from an intended position of the hearing aid device or hearing aid microphones. The hearing aid device is configured to compensate for a possible dislocation of the hearing aid microphones.

A method for picking up body signals from the head of a user comprises a) placing first and second electrodes on first and second different positions at a first side of the user's head in direct or capacitive contact with the user's head, said first side comprising a first eye of the user, the first and second electrodes being configured to pick up first and second electric potentials, respectively, from the user's body, and b) providing an Electrooculography signal representative of a corneo-retinal potential difference of said first eye of the user in dependence of said at first and second electric potentials. The first and second positions may be (substantially) located in a plane including the first eye of the user. A portable electronic device providing an Electrooculography signal, and a hearing device utilizing an Electrooculography signal is further disclosed.

A device implantable under skin is disclosed. The device includes a sealed housing containing electronics for at least stimulation or collection of data and at least one antenna for communicating with an external device, a magnet configured to hold said external device in proximity to the sealed housing. the sealed housing includes an upper cover being closest to the skin when the device is implanted, and a lower cover that is hermetically connected to the upper cover. The lower cover includes an elevated region, a recessed region, and at least one feedthrough element formed in the recessed region of the lower cover.

A binaural hearing system comprising first and second hearing devices, e.g. hearing aids, adapted to establish a communication link between them, each comprising a) first and second input units providing first and second electric input signals representing first and second sound signals from the environment of the binaural hearing system, b) a beamformer unit for generating a beamformed signal from the first and second electric input signals, and c) a control unit for controlling the beamformer unit. In a specific dual DIR mode of operation aimed at a listening situation comprising first and second target sound sources, the control units of the first and second hearing devices are configured to focus their respective beamformer units on the first and second target sound sources, respectively. The application further relates to a method of operating a binaural hearing system.

A cochlear implant includes a sealed housing containing electronics for at least stimulation or collection of data and at least one antenna for communicating with an external device and a magnet configured to hold the external device in proximity to the sealed housing. The sealed housing includes an upper cover being closest to the skin when the device is implanted, and a lower cover that is hermetically connected to the upper cover. The lower cover includes an elevated region, a recessed region, and at least one feedthrough element formed in the recessed region of the lower cover. The recessed region provides space for a lead to connect to the feedthrough element and protects it from shock and other environmental risks.

A portable electronic device comprises a wireless receiver unit for receiving a wireless signal from a transmitting device, the wireless receiver unit comprising an antenna receiving an electromagnetic signal and providing a received electric input signal, and a receiver providing a recovered electric signal from the received electric input signal, and an impedance matching circuit matching the electric impedance of the antenna to the receiver, the receiver comprising a gain stage comprising an Automatic Gain Control unit automatically determining an AGC-gain value for application to an AGC-input signal to provide an appropriate signal level when the level of said AGC input signal is in a range between a minimum and a maximum signal level corresponding to maximum and minimum AGC-gain values, respectively. The portable device further comprises a control unit receiving the AGC-gain value and providing a control signal depending on said AGC-gain value to the impedance matching circuit.
