A device for sealing and absorbing differential expansion between a cooling chamber for cooling particles in suspension and a recycling duct comprises a tubular expansion joint part (2) interconnecting the wall (1) of the cooling chamber and the recycling duct (3), with guide plates (7) for guiding the tubular part being fixed to the outside wall of the chamber and being distributed around the tubular part and bearing thereagainst by means of rolls (8, 9), a flat gasket (6) being interposed between the ends of the tubular part and the recycling duct, and controlled clamping flanges (10, 11) being disposed on the ends and being provided with oblong holes (16, 17) for passing clamping bolts (18), one of the flanges being provided with pebble-shaped parts (20) bearing against corresponding clamping adjustment shoes (22) on the other.

A device for suspending a bundle of horizontal tubes in a vertical plane (1), the device comprising pairs (4, 5, 6) of vertical tubes (7, 8) provided with half-fins on their facing sides. The half-fins have a profile including notches of circular shape, having a radius slightly larger than the radius of the tubes in the bundle and being at the same spacing as said tubes, the notches being separated by tongues (16, 18, 20, 17, 19, 21) which project from the vertical tubes by a distance which is long enough to provide good support for the tubes of the bundle and which is short enough to ensure good thermal conduction from their projecting ends to their weld zones on the corresponding vertical tubes.

A system for interlocking closely adjacent verical lengths (10, 11, FIG. 2) of tube in a heat exchanger in which the tubes form loops between an inlet and an outlet and in which the tubes are suspended from a rigid structure by said inlet and outlet. Starting from the middle lengths, each length is provided with a hollow member (12) projecting on its side towards the outside of the bundle, welded to the tube along two generator lines (14, 24), and resting against the outer face of the adjacent length, and including a downwardly projecting lip (18), while the adjacent length is provided with an opposite like member (13) likewise welded thereto along two generator lines (15, 25), pressing against the outer face of the first length below the first member, and fitted with an upwardly projecting lip (19) engaging with the lip of the first member.
