A tool holder is furnished for fastening a dentistry-type tool to be subjected to vibrations. A core is attached to a generator of vibrations and includes a housing for a tool. A locking assembly cap having a rear end is fitted onto a forward area of the core. A locking assembly sliding component is placed over a rear area of the core for contacting the rear end of the core with front end of the locking assembly cap. A compressive spring engages the core and the locking assembly sliding component for pushing the locking assembly sliding component in a forward direction.

Device for maintaining a boring tool in a vibratory dental instrument

A dental drill having an elongate drill body tapered to a conical tip. The drill body has a plurality of substantially identical barbs projecting outwardly from the drill body and arranged helically about the drill body. Each barb has an outer peripheral profile resembling a parabola in shape extending generally toward the tip of the drill body. Each barb has a flat surface contiguous with the flat surface of an adjacent barb at a point of juncture with the drill body. The barb flat surfaces are disposed in a common helical path about the drill body and each has a shape resembling a parabola. The barbs have a peripheral profile also resembling a parabola. Each resembles a paraboloid in which intersections by planes parallel to the corresponding flat surface thereof and spaced axially on the drill body resemble parabolas with the axes thereof decreasing in length as the intersections are made in a direction toward the tip of the drill body.

This packing case comprises a support provided with a plurality of separate parallel cavities adapted to receive the dental canal instruments and a protection cover consisting of a self-adhesive sheet. This sheet of thin transparent and flexible material has a gripping edge parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cavities and this edge projects laterally from the support surface. By raising the sheet by means of the gripping edge the user can uncover the cavities one by one and thus pick up a selected instrument by simply turning the case upside down, the other instrument being retained in the case. With this packing case it is possible to pack various types of dental instruments such as files, reamers, drills, Hedstroem files, nerve broaches, etc., and the cover may also be used as a label carrying inscriptions concerning the type of dental instrument contained in the case.

Packing case for dental canal instruments

This device comprises a dental handpiece (15), notably a contra-angle, detachably coupled to a socket (35) so that the handpiece can rotate freely relative to the socket, this socket incorporating a micromotor for driving the dental treatment tool. The handpiece comprises means for illuminating the treatment area and the electric power supply between the two elements is taking place by means of spring loaded contact pistons (19, 22) parallel to the handpiece axis and projecting from the front face of one of the two elements, the contact pistons being adapted, in the coupled condition, to be urged against corresponding annular electric tracks (18, 21) provided at the end of the other element, these tracks being insulated from each other by a ring (20).

The invention relates to a dental drill. According to the invention, the drill has a triple helicoidal flute and progressive pitch, the free spaces between the cutting lips increasing from the tip (3) toward the shank (1) of the drill. Application: dental apparatus.

A precision injection system for intralignmental anesthesia and the like having a syringe with a tubular handle portion which is removably connected a tubular headpiece as a longitudinal extension thereof. The headpiece receives a carpule cartridge with injection contents monitored during injections through elongate windows on opposite sides of the headpiece. A dosing plunger housed in the handle portion in a retracted start position is activated by a servo-dosing lever and advances incrementally axially into the headpiece for delivery of metered quantities of the contents of the carpule cartridge each time the servo-dosing lever is actuated. Provision is made for semiautomatic resetting of the dosing plunger to a retracted start position by depressing a resetting key and raising the syringe to a generally vertically raised position. The dosing plunger has a rack thereon activated by a ratchet cooperative with the servo-dosing lever so that a reduction in the normal pressure applied to the servo-dosing lever is effected in making the injections.

A system for maintaining in the head of a vibratable dental tool holder a dental tool releasably held axially in fixed position in a transverse passage oblique to the longitudinal axis of the dental tool holder. The system comprises a first sleeve axially of the dental tool holder having a leading edge bearing against the dental tool. A second sleeve is threaded on the dental tool holder and it keeps the first sleeve in close contact with the dental tool keeping it from moving axially away from the dental tool in response to vibration of the dental tool holder during operation.

This dental canal rotary instrument comprises a handle having a hollow metal sleeve surrounding concentrically the inoperative end of the instrument shank; a suitable plastic material is cast into a mold so as to fill the gap left between the sleeve and the shank to form a plastic core embedding the shank, the latter protruding from at least one of the sleeve ends; a notch is formed in the sleeve for anchoring the sleeve and the plastic core, and a flat face is provided on the embedded shank end, in order to improve the adherence of the sleeve, core and shank to one another.

An air distributor for the supply of a blade-type motor which can be rotated about its axis by means of a sleeve with which it is integral external to a casing, the rear end plate of the blade-type motor being constituted by a ring traversed by at least three openings which are off set at angles of 120.degree., characterized in that the end of the distributor facing the said ring is shaped so as to form, on the one hand, a chamber causing the outlet openings of the motor block to communicate with one or more outlet pipes for the air toward the exterior traversing the distributor and, on the other hand, a surface in direct contact with the said ring, on which surface there merges a feed duct for air traversing the said distributor originating from the compressed air source.
