A combined device for instantaneous control of power transfer between two cores of a direct current network and for powering an alternating current engine. The device includes: an assembly of two three-phase inverters, each including three switching cells connected to the engine, which engine includes three stator windings connected to the two three-phase inverters, and a module for controlling the assembly, which ensures both an adjustable direct current power transfer and enables stabilization of the direct current voltage of one of the two cores if it is not connected, and the control of the engine.

The present invention pertains to a commutator containing a semiconductor operable with unidirectional current and bidirectional voltage and with controlled interruption and automatic ignition, and in which a semiconductor device with controlled commutation is utilized. In accordance with the invention, the commutator includes a logic gate (61) having an input which, when the anode-to-cathode voltage of the semiconductor device (2) is below a specific positive voltage close to zero, receives a logic signal from an adapting circuit (4) connected to the semiconductor anode. The other input of the logic gate receives a control logic signal, and the output of the gate is connected to another adapting circuit (5) which converts the logic signal output by the logic gate into a suitable control signal which is transmitted to a the control terminal of the semiconductor device (2). A static energy converter apparatus, having at least one converter .GAMMA. conforming to that described in U.S. Pat. No. 4,330,819, includes a supplementary output stage 21 adapted to produce an alternating current that changes direction upon each commutation of the controlled blocking static interrupters of the converter .GAMMA.. The invention relates to a static semi-conductor electrical energy converter. The converter is of the type comprising a power stage 5 provided with at least one power transistor 7, and a control stage 1 furnishing a control signal S.sub.C appropriate for the conversion to be carried out; according to the invention, each transistor is a transistor having a voltage V.sub.CEX greater than its voltage V.sub.CEO and is associated with an intermediate stage 4 for treatment of the control signal S.sub.C. This stage 4 is adapted to drive the base of the said transistor to guarantee operation thereof over a voltage range extending from 0 to V.sub.CEX thus making it possible to take advantage of the improved voltage V.sub.CEX of the said transistor. The invention is applicable in particular in the case of inverters adapted to convert a continuous electric voltage into an alternating electric voltage.
