A partially translucent photovoltaic window is provided herein that comprises a photovoltaic module enclosed between a first window pane and a second window pane. The photovoltaic module comprises a stack with at least a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer and a perovskite photovoltaic layer sandwiched between the electrode layers. The photovoltaic window further comprises between the first window pane and the photovoltaic module as well as between the second window pane and the photovoltaic module a respective intermediate layer comprising a lead getter material.

Partially translucent photovoltaic window and method of manufacturing the same

A photovoltaic device () with a plurality of photovoltaic modules (A, IB, . . . , IF), is disclosed herein comprising a stack with a primary electrode layer (), a secondary electrode layer () and a photovoltaic layer () arranged between said primary and said secondary electrode layer, at least one of the electrode layers being translucent, the photovoltaic layer () at least comprising a first sublayer of a photovoltaic material and a second, charge carrier transport sublayer between said first sublayer and said secondary electrode layer. An serial electrical interconnection between mutually subsequent photovoltaic modules (IB,C) is provided by a coupling element of insulating material laterally enclosing an electrically conducting core (BC) provided in the interface section between the mutually subsequent photovoltaic modules. Therewith a lifetime of the photovoltaic material is improved.

Photovoltaic device and method of manufacturing the same

Translucent photovoltaic product, method of manufacturing the same and manufacturing apparatus. The method comprises: depositing a stack of layers on a carrier substrate, the stack comprising a first electrode layer, a photovoltaic layer and a second electrode layer; cutting through the substrate with the stack of layers to form a first and a second mutually disjoint sections; separating the first and the second section from each other; laminating the first section and the second section with a respective further substrate at a side opposite the carrier substrate to form a respective first and second photovoltaic device; and assembling the photovoltaic product from the first photovoltaic device and the second photovoltaic device, wherein the first and the second sections are mutually complementary comb shaped structures and wherein the second photovoltaic device is arranged in a second plane parallel to and in front of a first plane of said first photovoltaic device.

Translucent photovoltaic device, translucent photovoltaic product and method of manufacturing the same

A photovoltaic device () is provided with a first electrode layer (), a photovoltaic layer (), a second charge carrier transport layer () and a second electrode layer (). The photovoltaic device () has a plurality of mutually subsequent photovoltaic device cells (A, . . . ,F) arranged in a first direction (D). Each pair of a photovoltaic cell (C) and its successor are serially connected in an interface region (CD). The interface region comprises an elongate region (R) between successive first electrode layer portion (C,D), a first elongate region (R) between successive photovoltaic layer portions (A,B), a second elongate region (R) between successive second charge carrier transport layer portions (C,D) and a third elongate region (R) between successive second electrode layer () portions (C,D). The second elongate region (R) extends within the first elongate region (R), and its lateral boundaries are distinct from those of the first elongate region (R).
