A system includes a wind turbine having a fixed part and a rotational part and a brake having a brake disk mounted to the rotational part for rotation with the rotational part. At least one brake block is fixed relative to the fixed part and has a friction surface facing the brake disk. The brake block is shiftable between a first position with the friction surface spaced from the brake disk and a second position with the friction surface in contact with and pressed against the brake disk, and the friction surface and/or the brake disk are configured such that pressing the at least one brake block against the brake disk creates a micro-interference fit between the at least one brake block and the brake disk.

A rolling-element bearing unit for use in a motor vehicle wheel or in a motorbike rocker arm includes outer and inner raceway elements and a set of rolling elements between the inner and outer raceway elements such that the inner and outer raceway elements are pivotable or rotatable relative to each other and also a lubricant reservoir body in the bearing interior for storing and dispensing a lubricant, the body including bridge elements extending between adjacent pairs of the rolling elements and a side ring connecting the bridge elements.

A guide roller configured to guide a wire to or from a work roller in a wire rolling line includes a rolling-element bearing having a rotatable outer ring, a fixed inner ring, and rolling elements between the outer ring and the inner ring. The guide roller is configured as a double row preloaded rolling-element bearing and is installable as a finished component on a fixed shaft of the wire rolling line without adjusting the preload.
