The disclosure relates to a method for partial discharge testing of an insulation component, wherein at least one X-ray pulse is applied to the insulation component, an AC voltage is applied to the insulation component and the partial discharge induced by the at least one X-ray pulse is measured, wherein the dose rate of the at least one X-ray pulse is at least about 10Gray/s. The disclosure relates further to a system for partial discharge testing of an insulation component which includes a flash X-ray source for generating at least one X-ray pulse, an AC voltage source, a voltage sensor, a partial discharge sensor and a partial discharge detection device for evaluating the measured partial discharge.

an exemplary film includes a base having an electrically insulating polymer which carries on one or both surfaces a sequence of electrically conductive coated areas which are separated by non-coated interstices. The film, which can include a superposition of films arranged one above another, can be shaped to form a capacitor. The capacitor can include a plurality of parallel electrodes which are insulated from each other. Each electrode can include one or more electrode layers formed by the coated areas that are separated by dielectric layers formed by sections of the base.

A rolled film capacitor is disclosed which includes a first dielectric film and a second dielectric film, which are wound along their length dimension to form alternating turns of the winding. A plurality of first conductive segments are arranged on a first surface of the first dielectric film along the length dimension of the first dielectric film, and a plurality of second conductive segments are arranged on a surface of the second dielectric film along the length dimension of the second dielectric film, or on a second surface of the first dielectric film along the length dimension of the first dielectric film. The first conductive segments can have a progressively increasing length along the length dimension of the first dielectric film, and the second conductive segments have a progressively increasing length along the length dimension of the first or second dielectric film. The number of the first and/or second conductive segments per turn of the winding can be equal to or more than one.

Rolled film capacitor

A compressor includes a compressor wheel, a diffuser and a device for the wet cleaning of the diffuser of a compressor, the diffuser being arranged downstream of the compressor wheel in the flow direction of the medium to be compressed. The device includes an arrangement for injecting a liquid, which is arranged in such a way that the liquid can be introduced, downstream of the compressor wheel, to the diffuser. The diffuser has at least partially a non-stick coating. A device of this type is suitable for removing deep-seated deposits from the surface of the diffuser.
