Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer program products, for identifying navigational resources for queries. In an aspect, a candidate query in a query sequence is selected, and a revised query subsequent to the candidate query in the query sequence is selected. If a quality score for the revised query is greater than a quality score threshold and a navigation score for the revised query is greater than a navigation score threshold, then a navigational resource for the revised query is identified and associated with the candidate query. The association specifies the navigational resource as being relevant to the candidate query in a search operation.

Navigational resources for queries

In general, one aspect described can be embodied in a method for determining a classification for a query. The method can include receiving a request to determine whether to assign a classification to a first query, identifying a plurality of search entities that are associated with the first query based upon data associated with each of the plurality of search entities and the first query, and determining whether to assign the classification to the first query based upon classifications for the identified search entities.

Propagating query classifications

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for determining a weighted overall quality of result statistic for a document. One method includes receiving quality of result data for a query and a plurality of versions of a document, determining a weighted overall quality of result statistic for the document with respect to the query including weighting each version specific quality of result statistic and combining the weighted version-specific quality of result statistics, wherein each quality of result statistic is weighted by a weight determined from at least a difference between content of a reference version of the document and content of the version of the document corresponding to the version specific quality of result statistic, and storing the weighted overall quality of result statistic and data associating the query and the document with the weighted overall quality of result statistic.

Modifying ranking data based on document changes

Obtaining search results responsive to a query, each search result identifying a respective resource and each resource having a respective rank determined by a primary ranking algorithm. The method includes obtaining primary user feedback data and secondary user feedback data for the resource. The primary and secondary user feedback data representing previous user interactions with the resource when the resource was presented as a search result responsive to the query. The method also includes applying a weight to the secondary user feedback data, the weight being at least partially based on a threshold quantity of the primary user feedback data. The method also includes aggregating the primary user feedback data and the weighted secondary user feedback data and modifying the respective rank of the resource as a search result for the query based at least partially on the aggregated data.

Combining user feedback

Embodiments are directed towards mobile application development in a cloud-based architecture. Mobile applications may be designed to communicate with a cloud platform over a network. Mobile application developers may be enabled to submit cloud code to cloud platforms for use by mobile applications. If cloud code is provided to a cloud platform, the cloud platform may perform one or more actions to authenticate the cloud code, such as, ensuring that that the user providing the cloud code is authorized to provide the cloud code. If the cloud code is authenticated the cloud platform may perform one or more actions to validate the cloud code. If validated, the cloud code may be activated for use by mobile applications and/or mobile application developers. Activation of the cloud code may include associating the cloud code with one or more function calls and/or with one or more trigger points.
