Connection and fastening unit for a lightning receptor for integration into a wind turbine rotor blade

The invention is directed to a method for making an equipotential bonding connection between two components of a lightning protection arrangement of a wind turbine rotor blade. The method includes providing a wind turbine rotor blade having two rotor blade half shells having respective connection and fastening units connected to corresponding ones of the two components of the lightning protection arrangement. A space is present in the interior of the rotor blade between the two connection and fastening units. A connection conductor is introduced from outside of the rotor blade through a through opening in one of the two connection and fastening units into the interior space of the wind turbine rotor blade. The two ends of the connection conductor are fastened to corresponding ones of the connection and fastening units such that the connection conductor bridges the interior space along an essentially linear imaginary line.

Wind turbine rotor blade having an electric heating device for heating a heatable surface region which extends over a longitudinal section of the wind turbine rotor blade, wherein the electric heating device has a blade-tip-side end, a blade-root-side end and two profile-trailing-edge-side edges, and two outer electric conductors which are connected to the electric heating device along the profile-trailing-edge-side edges and via which the electric heating device can be supplied with a heating current, wherein at least one central electric conductor which is connected to the electric heating device at a distance from the two profile-trailing-edge-side edges in such a way that the electric heating device is divided by the at least one central electric conductor into at least two partial regions which each extend over the longitudinal section and can be supplied with an electric heating current separately from one another via two of the conductors.

A spar cap assembly is for a wind turbine rotor blade. The spar cap assembly has a spar cap reinforced with carbon fibers, comprising a lightning conductor, which is arranged so as to run along the spar cap, and at least one potential-equalizing element, which establishes an electrical connection between the spar cap and the lightning conductor. The carbon fibers of the spar cap, the lightning conductor and the at least one potential-equalizing element are embedded in a common polymer matrix and are configured as a prefabricated assembly for integration into a wind turbine rotor blade half-shell after the curing of the polymer matrix.

A wind turbine rotor blade includes: a rotor blade root; a rotor blade tip; an electrical heating device; a first lightning receptor disposed in the region of the rotor blade tip; precisely two lightning conductors leading from the lightning receptor to the rotor blade root; a second lightning receptor arranged at a distance to the rotor blade tip and connected to one of the lightning conductors; and, each one of the two lightning conductors being electrically conductively connected to the electrical heating device at a multiplicity of points between the rotor blade root and the rotor blade tip so as to cause equipotential bonding between the two lightning conductors via the electrical heating device in response to a lightning strike to the rotor blade.
