A printer head () for a 3D-printing apparatus, comprising a nozzle () arranged to deposit one or more adjacently arranged filaments of printing material to form at least one layer of an object to be produced. The nozzle comprises at least one exterior surface () configured to be brought into abutting contact with a peripheral edge () of the at least one layer, and configured to be guided along the peripheral edge of the at least one layer and on a predetermined distance into the at least one layer.

Extrusion-based additive manufacturing method

A printer unit () for a 3D-printing apparatus. The printer unit comprises a printer head () comprising a nozzle () arranged to deposit printing material from the printer unit, a pressure sensor () configured to sense a pressure exerted on the printer head from the printing material, and a control unit () coupled to the pressure sensor. The control unit is configured to control the speed of the printer head based on a transfer function from the pressure sensed by the pressure sensor to a desired speed of the printer head, in order to maintain a constant deposition of the amount of printing material per length unit of deposited printing material.

Light guide-based luminaire

A printer unit () for a 3D-printing apparatus for deposition of a printing material, as well as a method of 3D printing, is provided. The printer unit comprises a printer head () comprising a nozzle (). The printer head is resiliently suspended in the printer unit in a vertical direction by at least one resilient means (), allowing a vertical movement of the printer head during deposition of the printing material. The suspended printer head in its equilibrium is positionable above the underlying material at a vertical distance (&#x394;z) before deposition. During deposition of printing material, the at least one resilient means is configured to become biased by a vertical force (F) on the nozzle from the printing material on the underlying material, such that the printer head moves from its equilibrium into a position at a desired vertical distance (&#x394;z) from the underlying material.

The invention provides a lighting panel, for use for example within a modular surface system, comprising one or more strips of solid state lighting elements associated with a reflector structure. The lighting panel is adapted for improved uniformity of light intensity across the width of its output area. Lighting elements comprise two or more subsets, each subset adapted to collectively generate a different light intensity profile across the width of the panel output window. The subsets are selectively adapted to generate profiles which, when blended, mutually offset one another's deviations from some common mean intensity across the width of the output window, thereby generating a combined intensity profile of improved uniformity. Embodiments include arrangements in which subsets of lighting elements are adapted to have differing actual or virtual optical path lengths to the reflector surface. Also provided are embodiments further comprising an acoustically absorbing back surface, for providing an acoustic dampening function.

Lighting panel adapted for improved uniformity of light output

A transmissive spectral purity filter is configured to transmit extreme ultraviolet radiation. The spectral purity filter includes a filter part having a plurality of apertures configured to transmit extreme ultraviolet radiation and to suppress transmission of a second type of radiation. Each aperture has been manufactured by an anisotropic etching process.
