The present invention is related to variants of fungal serine protease enzyme, which have serine protease activity ofprotease. Also disclosed are isolated nucleic acid molecules, comprising polynucleotide sequences which encode variants of fungal serine protease enzyme, nucleic acid sequences encoding said protease variants, a host cell and a process of producing polypeptides having serine protease activity. Said protease variants are useful as enzyme preparations applicable in detergent compositions and for treating fibers, wool, hair, leather, or silk, for treating food or feed, or for any applications involving modification, degradation or removal of proteinaceous material.

Protease enzyme variants and uses thereof

The present disclosure relates to detergent compositions comprising subtilase variants exhibiting improved stability and/or improved wash performance in liquid detergent and methods for obtaining such detergent compositions. The variants are suitable for use in e.g. cleaning or detergent compositions, such as laundry detergent compositions and dish wash compositions, including automatic dish wash compositions.

In a dishwashing liquid, the cleaning performance, in particular on bleachable stains such as, for example, tea stains, is to be improved. This succeeds using a dishwashing liquid which comprises a hydrogen peroxide source, a bleaching catalyst and a protease that, in native electrophoresis on a polyacrylamide gel, has a migration distance that is longer than the migration distance of the protease as per SEQ ID NO. 1.

Surfactants of general formula (I), in which Rdenotes a linear or branched alkyl residue having 6 to 20, and in particular 8 to 14 carbon atoms, Rdenotes H or CH, and M denotes hydrogen, an alkali metal or an NRRRgrouping, in which R, Rand R, independently of one another, denote hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a hydroxyalkyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atom, can be easily incorporated into washing or cleaning agents, have outstanding application-related properties, and can be produced based on renewable resources.

Proteases that comprise an amino acid sequence that is at least 70% identical to the amino acid sequence indicated in SEQ ID NO. 1 over its entire length and that comprise, in the count in accordance with SEQ ID NO. 1, the amino acid substitution R99D in combination with at least two further amino acid substitutions that are selected from the group consisting of S3T, V4I, and V199I, display very good cleaning performance in particular on blood-containing stains, as well as very good temperature stability.

Performance-enhanced and temperature-resistant protease variants

The aim of the invention is to improve the primary detergent power of detergents and cleaning products, in particular with respect to soiling containing oil and/or grease. For this purpose, copolymers including ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid-derived sulfobetaine units and hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylic acid esters are incorporated into the products.

Detergents and cleaning products containing a polymer active ingredient

The present invention relates to polypeptides having cellulase activity, in particular to variants derived from the 20K-cellulase enzyme. The invention discloses a number of amino acid residue positions important for the properties of the cellulase enzyme and thereby for the stability and/or performance thereof. The novel variants have improved stability compared to the parental cellulase. In particular, the novel variants have good performance in an antigreying application and excellent stability in the presence of a protease in several detergent compositions even in long-term experiments.

Variants of fungal cellulase

The disclosure relates to proteases, the amino acid sequence of which has been modified in particular with regard to the use thereof in detergents and cleaning agents, all sufficiently similar proteases having a corresponding modification and nucleic acids coding for them. The disclosure further relates to methods and uses of said proteases and to agents containing them, in particular detergents and cleaning agents.

Protease variants having an improved washing performance

The aim of the invention is to improve the primary detergent power of detergents and cleaning products, in particular with respect to soiling containing oil and/or grease. For this purpose, polymers comprising N-vinyl imidazole-derived betaine units are incorporated into the products.

The present invention relates to detergent compositions comprising protease variants and methods for obtaining such detergent compositions. The present invention also relates to the use of such detergent compositions, especially in laundry or in hard surface cleaning applications.

Detergent composition comprising protease variants

The intention is to improve storage stability in a liquid washing or cleaning agent which contains a protease and amylase. This is achieved by using a protease which comprises an amino acid sequence which, over the entire length thereof, is at least 70% identical to the amino acid sequence stated in SEQ ID no. 1 and, in the numbering according to SEQ ID no. 1, has the amino acid substitution R99E or R99D in combination with at least two further amino acid substitutions which are selected from the group consisting of S3T, V4I and V199I.

Liquid washing or cleaning agent containing protease and amylase

This is achieved by a method in which an expression construct is introduced into a microorganism of the specieswhich comprises a promoter and a nucleic acid coding for the protein, and the protein is expressed in said expression construct.

Expression method

The stabilization of a hydrolytic enzyme in a liquid preparation is to be improved through a component that stabilizes the hydrolytic enzyme. This is accomplished by a method for adapting a hydrolytic enzyme to a component that stabilizes the hydrolytic enzyme, comprising the following method steps: a) providing a hydrolytic enzyme (starting enzyme) and a component that stabilizes the hydrolytic enzyme and that comprises a reversible inhibitor of the hydrolytic enzyme; b) changing the amino acid sequence of the hydrolytic enzyme in at least one position, by substitution, deletion or insertion; c) determining the relative activity of the hydrolytic enzyme from step b) and the relative activity of the starting enzyme in a liquid preparation; d) selecting the hydrolytic enzyme that has a reduced relative activity by comparison with the relative activity of the starting enzyme.
