An electronic device includes a controller, a clock generator, a first operation interface and a first functional unit. The controller generates a first clock enable signal, and then generates a first operation instruction. The clock generator generates a first clock according to the first clock enable signal. The first operation interface generates a first power supply signal according to the first clock, and translates the first operation instruction into a first operation signal. The first functional unit is enabled according to the first power supply signal, and starts to operate according to the first operation signal.

Electronic device and powering method thereof

A control circuit including a timer circuit and a voltage monitor circuit is provided. The timer circuit enables a trigger signal every a fixed time interval in response to a wake-up event. The voltage monitor circuit is configured to determine whether the operation voltage reaches the expected voltage and includes a signal-generating circuit, a first delay circuit, a second delay circuit, and a determination circuit. The signal-generating circuit generates a reference signal according to the trigger signal. The first delay circuit receives the operation voltage and delays the reference signal to generate a first delay signal. The second delay circuit delays the trigger signal to generate a second delay signal. The determination circuit enables a wake-up signal according to the reference signal, the first delay signal, and the second delay signal in response to the wake-up event.

Control circuit and operation system

A method and an apparatus in a computer system for connecting buses with different clock frequencies are provided. The method comprises receiving a request transmitted from a master to a slave. If the clock frequency of the master is lower than that of the slave such that the slave sees more requests than the master does, redundant cycles of the request signal are masked lest the slave repeatedly receive the request. The request is then transferred to the slave. If the clock frequency of the master is higher than that of the slave such that the slave cannot receive the request in time, then the request signal is lengthened so that the request signal is synchronized with the clock cycles of the slave. The output data responded from the slave is then transferred to the master.
