A temperature and voltage compensated time delay relay includes first and second bimetallic, contact carrying elements chosen to deflect in a similar manner in accordance with variations in ambient temperature for maintaining the contact gap therebetween substantially constant despite ambient temperature changes. A heater coil is wrapped about a first one of the elements (active element) for controlling the deflection thereof toward the second element (stationary element) for closing the contacts of the elements in a predetermined time period. An automotive flasher circuit having normally closed contacts and a flashing rate 'on' time which varies inversely proportionally with an increase in supply voltage, is coupled electrically between the supply voltage and bimetallic element heating coil to control and keep relatively constant the rate of heat rise in the active bimetallic element and thus to maintain the time delay period of the relay relatively constant.

Voltage and temperature compensated time delay relay

An air-operated switching device includes first and second spaced supports on which an armature is mounted. The armature includes a resilient blade fixedly mounted at a first end on the first support and for sliding movement with respect to the second support. A resilient contact finger extends from the slidably supported end of the armature and includes a free end having a contact thereon. A fixed contact is positioned in alignment with the contact of the finger. An air-operated actuator applies pressure to the blade causing it to flex with the one end of the blade moving slidably over the second support, thereby causing the finger contact to be moved into engagement with the fixed contact with a wiping motion.

Air operated DC switch

A rechargeable flashlight fits into and draws recharging power from an automotive type cigar lighter socket. A thermally controlled charging circuit within the flashlight adjusts the charging rate according to the ambient temperature. When the flashlight is withdrawn from the cigar lighter socket, it is illuminated; when it is replaced it is extinguished. Alternatively, the flashlight may be manually illuminated or extinguished outside the charging socket.

The plug portion of a cigar lighter is assembled using a decorative disc held in place by the shaft of a knob being threaded into a disc which is secured against protuberances in a cup by a rolled flange.

Cigar lighter

A fluid bilevel sensor containing a differential float and a magnetically actuatable switch generating an electrical signal upon the occurrence of one fluid level. A thermal time delay delays the application of the electrical signal to a load for a predetermined time. The magnetically actuatable switch removes the electrical signal upon the occurrence of a second fluid level. The thermal time delay delays the removal of the electrical signal from the load for a predetermined time.

Fluid bilevel sensor

An electro-mechanical liquid level sensor is disclosed. The sensor comprises a magnetically operable switch in response to liquid level to complete a circuit for actuating a warning light or the like. The switch comprises a movable electrical contact operative to be moved by magnetic force which is variable in accordance with liquid level whereby the circuit is completed upon a predetermined change in liquid level. The movable parts of the sensor and the structure associated therewith are self-aligning.
