Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, based at least in part on one or more parameters, an extended reality (XR) compute location for XR data associated with an XR device that is associated with the UE, wherein the XR compute location corresponds to the UE, the XR device, or an application server associated with the XR data. The UE may selectively transmit an indication of the XR compute location to a network node. Numerous other aspects are described.

Dynamic distributed extended reality compute

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communicating time synchronized data between a client and a server. An example method generally includes synchronizing, by a client, a clock of the client with a clock source. The method also includes transmitting, from the client to a server, at an application level, information indicating the clock source, a cell identifier of a serving cell of the client, and accuracy of the clock source as a time value. The method further includes transmitting, from the client to the server, a message including data and a timestamp correlated to an event associated with the data based on the clock. The method also includes in response to the message, receiving, by the client from the server, generated data.

End-to-end time synchronization for cloud-based services

This disclosure describes systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for controlling a network with one or more access points (APs). A controller may be configured to schedule at least some resources of the one or more APs to improve network efficiency. The APs may measure and report a variety of information and statistics to the controller. The controller may determine one or more transmission parameters and one or more operations a given AP is permitted to perform during a respective time interval. The controller may communicate the one or more transmission parameters using an indication, such as a message. At least one AP associated with the controller may communicate with stations (STAs) using the one or more transmission parameters.

Techniques for controlling a network

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a base station may identify a burst periodicity for communication bursts over one or more cells, such as secondary cells (SCells) in accordance with a multi-carrier communication scheme. The UE and the base station may determine a cell dormancy pattern for switching the SCells between an active state and a dormant state based on the burst periodicity. The base station and the UE may use one or more bandwidth parts (BWPs) for communications and may configure the UE to perform BWP switching over the SCell during the dormancy state switching operation. The base station and the UE may communicate the bursts while the SCells are in the active state and may switch the SCells between the active state and the dormant state based on the cell dormancy pattern.

The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for graphics or data processing including an apparatus, e.g., a network, a server, or a client device. In some aspects, the apparatus may transmit a request for an updated FEC rate, the updated FEC rate being based on a previous FEC rate. The apparatus may also receive, based on the request for the updated FEC rate, information associated with the updated FEC rate. Additionally, the apparatus may determine the updated FEC rate based on the received information, the received information being associated with a difference between the previous FEC rate and the updated FEC rate.

Methods and apparatus for FEC rate adaptation

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for implementing a retransmission protocol in a wireless local area network (WLAN). The retransmission protocol enables a sending station (STA) to communicate additional parity bits associated with an original transmission that included forward error correction (FEC) encoded codewords. Several techniques are described for a receiving STA to indicate which portions of the original transmission was not properly received. The receiving STA may store the original transmission for use with additional parity bits in a subsequent transmission. The sending STA may communicate the additional parity bits in a subsequent transmission to assist the receiving STA recover the data from the original transmission.

Retransmission protocol based on forward error correction codewords

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for implementing a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) protocol in a wireless local area network (WLAN). A station (STA) may send a HARQ transmission to another STA. The HARQ protocol may support the use of different types of feedback from the receiving STA to control the HARQ retransmission process. This disclosure provides example message formats to support HARQ transmission and HARQ feedback in a WLAN.

Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) in a wireless local area network (WLAN)

A method includes, prior to authenticating a mobile device, receiving by an access point a first message from the mobile device, determining that the mobile device is to be authenticated prior to responding to the first message, and sending to an authentication server a second message that includes an authentication request and the first message. The method also includes receiving from the authentication server a third message that includes a response to the authentication request and that further includes the first message.

Method and apparatus for IP address assignment

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for multi user bar protocols and frames. According to certain aspects, an apparatus is provided for wireless communications. The apparatus generally includes a processing system configured to determine that a plurality of devices have a first capability and generate a multi-user (MU) packet that solicits an immediate response from a plurality of the devices, wherein the immediate response comprises an acknowledgment (ACK) or block ACK (BA) and an interface configured to output the MU packet for transmission.

Protocols for multiple user frame exchanges

Systems and methods are disclosed for a wireless device to transmit or receive a channel busy time (CBT) to or from other devices in a wireless network. For transmitting, the wireless device may determine a CBT during which a wireless channel is to be occupied, generate a universal reservation signal (URS) indicating the CBT, and transmit on the wireless channel the URS to at least one other wireless device. For receiving, the wireless device may receive on a wireless channel a URS from a second wireless device, the URS configured to indicate the CBT. The wireless device may also refrain from attempting to transmit on the wireless channel during the CBT.

Universal reservation signal for wireless communications

Wireless communications systems and methods related to signaling medium reservation information medium sharing among multiple radio technologies (RATs) are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a reservation signal to reserve a transmission opportunity (TXOP) in a spectrum. The spectrum is shared by multiple RATs. The reservation signal includes a plurality of first waveform sequences indicating medium reservation information detectable by the multiple RATs. The first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device are associated with a first RAT of the multiple RATs. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device using the first RAT, a communication signal in the spectrum during the TXOP.

Universal reservation signal for medium sharing

Methods and apparatus for multiple user uplink are provided. In one aspect, a method for wireless communication is provided. The method includes receiving a trigger frame from an access point, the trigger frame being transmitted to two or more stations and indicating an uplink transmission opportunity. The trigger frame further includes a request for the two or more stations to concurrently transmit uplink data at a specific time. The method includes transmitting uplink data at the specific time to the access point concurrently with another of the two or more stations transmitting uplink data to the access point.

Methods and apparatus for multiple user uplink

Methods and apparatus for acknowledgment of multiple user uplink are provided. In one aspect, a method of wireless communication includes receiving a first wireless message from a first station at least partially concurrently with receiving a second wireless message from a second station, generating a first acknowledgment message in response to receiving the first wireless message, generating a second acknowledgement message in response to receiving the second wireless message, and transmitting the first acknowledgment message to the first station at least partially concurrently with transmitting the second acknowledgement message to the second station.
