A method includes collecting, at a monitoring and recovery node, a virtual network function key performance index data through multiple channels from a corresponding containerized virtual network function. The method includes maintaining, at the monitoring and recovery node, state information of the corresponding containerized virtual network function and running, at the monitoring and recovery node, a machine learning algorithm that, once trained, learns and predicts whether the corresponding containerized virtual network function requires one of a scaling, a healing or a context switching to sister virtual network function to yield a determination and meet the service level agreement of a network service.

Techniques for compiled indexing and paginated reporting are described. Event messages, having sequential identifiers, are received and stored in a working table. The working table is renamed as a rollover table upon receiving a threshold number of the event messages and a new working table is created. A reference to the rollover table is stored in a management table. Summary data which summarizes each rollover table according to predetermined criteria is stored in a summary table with the reference to the corresponding rollover table. When a query to the event messages is received, a response to the query is generated based on the contents of the summary table and management table. The response may also include a predetermined quantity of event messages based on a dimension of a window of a graphical user interface of a client computer which issued the query.

Efficiently delivering event messages using compiled indexing and paginated reporting

A subscriber unit () determines that there is information to transmit, and requests an amount of bandwidth. Upon receipt of the request for bandwidth from the subscriber unit, the fixed network equipment (FNE;) determines whether the requested bandwidth is available. If yes, the FNE dynamically determines at least a first timer value to be used by the subscriber unit to detect a loss of granted bandwidth, and transmits a reservation grant to the subscriber unit granting the request. The reservation grant comprises the at least first timer value. Upon receipt of the reservation grant, the subscriber unit extracts the at least first timer value from the reservation grant and uses the at least first timer value to detect loss of granted bandwidth.

Method of efficiently detecting a loss of granted bandwidth
