A release system for an evacuation slide assembly of an aircraft includes a fluid delivery manifold, a first actuator, and a second actuator. In various embodiments, a fluid is configured to flow into and pressurize the fluid delivery manifold from a fluid source in response to an evacuation event. In various embodiments, the first actuator is fluidly coupled to the fluid delivery manifold, wherein the first actuator is configured to release a blowout panel of the evacuation slide assembly in response to the fluid pressurizing the fluid delivery manifold. In various embodiments, the second actuator is fluidly coupled to the fluid delivery manifold, wherein the second actuator is configured to release a soft cover of the evacuation slide assembly in response to the fluid pressurizing the fluid delivery manifold.

An aspirator system is disclosed comprising a collapsible/extendable aspirator air channel, wherein a burstable seal for entrapping air across the exit channel is provided, wherein said entrapped air creates a pressure causing the aspirator to extend to its extended state, whereupon the seal bursts and opens the air channel.

A connection box assembly configured to connect an evacuation slide actuation cable of an evacuation slide actuation system to an evacuation slide inflation system is provided. The connection box assembly comprises a connection box, a connection box lid coupled to the connection box and configured to slide between an open position and a closed position, and a connection box slider disposed within the connection box. The connection box slider is positioned to receive a first cable end of the evacuation slide actuation cable when the connection box lid is in the open position. The connection box lid in the closed position closes the connection box to retain and seal the connection box slider and the first cable end inside the connection box assembly.

A contour gauge may include a fixture with an opening and a first contact on a surface of the fixture. A lacing fixture may be configured to at least partially cover the opening of the fixture. A second contact may be on the lacing fixture. The second contact may correspond to the first contact on the fixture. The fixture may be made from a translucent or transparent material. The first contact may be an electrical contact. The second contact may be a pressure sensitive switch. An output panel including a light may be present on the lacing fixture. The fixture may be made of polymethyl methacrylate.

An emergency evacuation assembly may comprise an inflatable slide, a soft cover containing the inflatable slide, a lace holding the soft cover closed, a pin retaining the lace, and a pneumatic actuator configured to release the lace by pulling the pin. In various embodiments, the pneumatic actuator may include a housing, a cylinder disposed within the housing, a plunger disposed within the cylinder, a seal disposed within the cylinder, and a spring disposed within the housing.

Connection box assembly is provided for connecting evacuation slide actuation cable of evacuation slide actuation system to evacuation slide inflation system. Connection box assembly comprises connection box, connection box lid coupled thereto, electrical connector blocker coupled to connection box lid, and connection box slider disposed within connection box. Connection box lid is configured to slide between an open and closed position. Electrical connector blocker is configured to prevent electrical connection to electrical connector coupled to evacuation slide inflation system when connection box lid is in open position and to permit electrical connection to electrical connector when connection box lid is in closed position. Connection box slider is positioned to receive first cable end of evacuation slide actuation cable when connection box lid is in open position. Connection box lid in closed position closes connection box retaining and sealing connection box slider and first cable end inside connection box assembly.

A safety pin system for a product is provided and includes a safety pin disposable in a receiving element to disable the product, an obstruction disposable in a blocking position of a product disability indicator and a streamer configured to pass through an opening associated with the product and attached at opposite ends thereof to the safety pin and the obstruction. The opening and the obstruction are sized such that, when the obstruction is disposed in the blocking position with the streamer passed through the opening and the safety pin disposed in the receiving element, the obstruction is irremovable from the blocking position until the safety pin is removed from the receiving element.
