A thin-film solar module with a substrate and a layer structure applied thereon that comprises a rear electrode layer, a front electrode layer, and an absorber layer arranged between the back electrode layer and the front electrode layer. Serially connected solar cells are formed in the layer structure by patterning zones, wherein each patterning zone comprises a first patterning line for subdividing at least the rear electrode layer, a second patterning line for subdividing at least the absorber layer, and at least one third patterning line for subdividing at least the front electrode layer. At least one patterning zone has one or more optically transparent zones in a zone region reduced by the first patterning line, which are in each case rear-electrode-layer-free, wherein the one or more optically transparent zones are implemented such that the rear electrode layer is continuous in the zone region.

Semitransparent thin-film solar module

A thin-film solar module with a substrate and a layer structure applied thereon, which comprises a rear electrode layer, a front electrode layer, and an absorber layer arranged between the rear electrode layer and the front electrode layer, wherein serially connected solar cells are formed in the layer structure by patterning zones, wherein at least one solar cell has one or more optically transparent zones that are in each case rear-electrode-layer-free, wherein the one or more optically transparent zones are implemented such that the rear electrode layer of the solar cell is continuous.

A thin-film solar module with a substrate and a layer structure applied thereon comprising a rear electrode layer, a front electrode layer, and an absorber layer arranged between the back electrode layer and the front electrode layer. Serially connected solar cells are formed in the layer region by patterning zones, having a rear electrode layer section. The layer region has at least one linear decoating region. The decoating region has an alternating sequence of optically transparent zones and electrode zones. The optically transparent zones are rear-electrode-layer-free and the electrode zones are absorber-layer-free and have a rear electrode layer section. A method for producing a thin-film solar module with serially connected solar cells and related device. A back electrode layer is deposited on one side of a flat substrate and subdivided by first patterning trenches. An absorber layer is deposited over the back electrode layer and subdivided by second patterning trenches. A front electrode layer is deposited over the absorber layer. At least the front electrode layer is subdivided by third patterning trenches. A direct succession of a first patterning trench, a second patterning trench, and two adjacent third patterning trenches forms a patterning zone. The third patterning trenches are produced by laser ablation through a pulsed laser beam, where one third patterning trench is produced with laser pulses of higher energy and the other third patterning trench of the patterning zone is produced with laser pulses of lower energy.

Method for producing a thin-film solar module

A method for producing a layer structure for the production of thin-film solar cells including: providing a carrier substrate, depositing a rear electrode layer on the carrier substrate, producing a rear-electrode-layer-free region, creating a measurement layer over the rear electrode layer such that the measurement layer is situated at least over the rear-electrode-layer-free region, wherein the measurement layer is a photoactive absorber layer or a precursor layer of the photoactive absorber layer, and determining a quantity or a relative share of a component of the measurement layer in a region of the measurement layer that is situated over the rear-electrode-layer-free region of the rear electrode layer.

Method for producing a layer structure for thin-film solar cells using etching or laser ablation to produce rear-electrode-layer-free region

A solar module comprising a sheet; a plurality of solar cells electrically connected in series between first and second conductor lines, and arranged on a first side of the sheet, wherein the first and second conductor lines each extend along a length on the sheet; a first conductor lead in electrical connection with the first conductor line and a second conductor lead in electrical connection with the second conductor line; and a through-hole in the sheet through which the first conductor lead extends to a second side of the sheet and a further through-hole through which the second conductor lead extends to the second side of the sheet.

Solar module

A method and device for thin-film ablation of a substrate of a workpiece, more particularly, for surface layer ablation of a thin-film solar cell. The device comprises a laser resonator for generating a light pulse machining beam having pulse durations smaller than 100 ns and a pulse energy density between 0.1 and 10 J/cm , and a controllable positioner for positioning the workpiece relative to the machining beam such that an amount of energy impinging the surface to be machined is substantially constant for each unit of surface area. The device further includes an optical system arranged in a path of the machining beam, including an optical fiber cable and an optical imaging member for imaging an output of the optical fiber cable on a surface of the workpiece, the optical system being configured such that, in a plane of the surface to be machined, the power distribution is substantially homogenous.
