A method for determining an electrical resistance of an electrical supply lead of an electrical system. The system is connected to a first and a second electrically conductive supply lead, which are electrically conductively connected on the current-source side. The system is configured to electrically connect an electrical load of the system selectably to the first or to the second supply lead. The method includes: configuring an electrical connection between the first supply lead and the load; configuring an electrical interruption between the second supply lead and electrical loads of the system; impressing a current in the first supply lead; determining a first voltage at the input of the first supply lead; determining a second voltage at the input of the second supply lead; determining a first resistance value of the first supply lead using the first and the second voltage and the impressed current.

Method for determining the electrical resistance of an electric supply line

A method for controlling a power brake system, for a motor vehicle engaged in piloted driving, which includes two electrically controllable actuator units. The first actuator unit includes a braking-intent detection device, and a first pressure generation unit for generating a brake pressure in a brake circuit. The second actuator unit includes a second pressure generation unit redundant to the first pressure generation unit. A first electronic control device acquires signals of the braking-intent detection device and controls the actuator unit based on the detected braking intent. In response to detected functional impairment, the first motor of the pressure generation unit ceases to be controlled, and the second motor of the pressure generation unit of the second actuator unit is controlled to generate brake pressure. Detection of a braking intent and wheel-specific modulation of the brake pressure, continue to be carried out, using devices of the first actuator unit.

A method for operating a braking device of a vehicle, including a main braking system, and a backup braking system. The braking device includes a main braking system control unit, and a backup braking system control unit. The method includes detecting an error of a brake function of the braking system, locating the error inside the braking device, classifying the error with regard to the corresponding brake function and the braking system, and transferring a brake function detected as erroneous for the main braking system to the backup braking system in the event that the error concerns solely the main braking system, so that the brake function may still be carried out with the aid of the backup braking system.

A method is provided for limiting a load current in a supply line that supplies a first load with electrical current. The method includes: defining a first time interval and a second time interval, the first time interval beginning after a time of connection of the first load to the supply line, and the second time interval beginning later than the first time interval; limiting the load current within the first and second time interval to a first value; limiting the load current, at least at the end of the second time interval, to a second value, the second value being smaller than the first value.

A measuring unit is configured to generate a plurality of current and voltage values for each of at least two different operating points of the impedance unit. The field regulator has a voltage detection range for the evaluation of the phase signal having a minimum value and a maximum value, the maximum value being adjusted to the nominal voltage of a power supply unit of the motor vehicle.

A method for assigning addresses in a system having a first generator unit and at least one further generator unit positioned in parallel to the first generator unit. Each of the generator units has a control-signal input and a control-signal output. The control-signal input of each further generator unit is connected in each instance to the control-signal output of another of the generator units. Each of the further generator units receives an identification signal output at the control-signal output of a generator unit upstream of it, and assigns itself an individual address as a function of the respective identification signal received, the address depending on the length of the identification signal received.

A method and a device for providing the supply voltage for the loads of a vehicle on-board electrical system, using a plurality of generators. A regulator unit having at least one output stage transistor is allocated to each of the generators. The output stage transistor is controlled by means of a pulse-width-modulated control signal. The control signal generated in one of the regulator units, or a control signal derived therefrom that describes the pulse-duty factor of the pulse-width-modulated signal, is also supplied to the regulator units of the additional generators, and is also used there to control the output stage transistors. This procedure may bring into agreement the degree of loading of the generators.
