A system and method for providing conditioned air to a yarn traveling on a textile machine includes an air conditioning unit local to said textile machine and configured to receive input air and to condition the air to a first desired relative humidity. An air delivery conduit is in communication with the air conditioning unit and conveys the conditioned air therefrom. A diffuser is in communication with the delivery conduit so that the conditioned air flows into the diffuser. The diffuser defines a nonuniform opening so that the conditioned air leaves the diffuser in a turbulent flow. The opening is disposed at a predetermined distance from the yarn so that an air mixture, comprising the turbulent conditioned air and ambient air drawn into the turbulent flow, has a second desired relative humidity upon reaching the yarn.

Method and system for providing conditioned air

An airborne filter system includes an array of drum filters and a frame disposed in a permanent operative position proximate the array. A plurality of longitudinal members are operatively disposed on the frame, each longitudinal member extending into the interior area of a drum filter. A suction nozzle extends from each longitudinal member to operatively communicate with the interior surface area of the drum filter for removing waste material therefrom. A drive mechanism is in operative communication with the longitudinal members to rotate each about its longitudinal axis and to reciprocally move each longitudinal member substantially along the longitudinal axis of the drum filter from which the longitudinal member extends so that a suction end of the suction nozzle is moved substantially over the inner surface of the filter. A suction source is in operative communication with each suction nozzle to apply suction to the suction nozzles so that the waste material is drawn therethrough.

Airborne waste filter arrangement

An air handling apparatus and method for use with textile machines for filtering waste fiber material without adversely interrupting operation of the textile machine is provided. A common vacuum system is configured for drawing first, second and third independent air streams from the textile machine. Each of the independent air streams conveys a type of waste fiber material from the textile machine. A filtering system in pneumatic communication with the common vacuum system includes filtering devices for combining and commonly filtering the air streams. The filtering system includes a first filter device configured to selectively filter the waste fiber material types from, and to combine, the first, second and third air streams so that a desired at least one waste fiber material may be conveyed by the combined air stream. The filtering system also includes a second filter device configured to separate waste fiber material from the combined air stream.

Air handling apparatus for textile machines

An air handling apparatus for use with textile machines is provided to separately filter usable fiber material and waste fiber material without adversely interrupting operation of the textile machine. The apparatus includes a common vacuum system which is configured for drawing first and second independent airstreams from the textile machines. A filtering system is in pneumatic communication with the common vacuum system. The filtering system comprises filtering devices for separately filtering the first and second airstreams in a first configuration and for combining and commonly filtering the first and second airstreams in a second configuration. The apparatus includes a control device which is configured to automatically shift the filtering system between the first and second configurations.

Air handling apparatus and method for textile machines

The invention relates to an air-conditioning process and device, in particular to humidify and/or temper air which is fed in the form of an air stream to a humidification zone, whereby cooled water is sprayed into the airstream as a function of the conditioning parameters to be met. It is provided that to convey the air, the air stream is blown through the humidification zone, tempered water for adiabatic conditioning and cooled water can be sprayed in, and to influence the conditioning parameters, a control and/or regulation of the arrival of tempered and/or cooled water is carried out.

Air conditioning process and device

The invention relates to a process for the cooling and conditioning of air heated in a process, in particular of machine exhaust air which is cooled through heat exchange by means of a cooling medium, whereby water is preferably used as the cooling medium. It is provided that open waters, well and/or tap water of the water supply network are used for the heat exchange, whereby this water is used after utilization in the heat exchange at other locations for the cooling of the process and/or as hot water for further utilization in the process.

Process for cooling and conditioning air

An air handling and filtering system is provided for with conventional textile machines. The apparatus includes a common vacuum system for drawing first and second independent airstreams through the textile machines. A filtering system operates with the vacuum system to filter the useful white waste fiber material from all of the first airstreams. Individual filtering devices are provided for each textile machine and are housed in end-housing units disposed as one end of the textile machine. The individual filtering devices filter generally waste fiber material from the second airstreams drawn through the textile machines. The individual filtering devices can be isolated from the common vacuum system so that the individual waste fiber filters can be cleaned without stopping or otherwise affecting the critical first airstream so as not to detrimentally affect yarn formation at the spinning stations of the textile machines.
