This invention relates to a multiplex control of components and subsystems in motor vehicles having: a central electronic control unit and multiplex bus electronic units (3) associated with each component and each subsystem. The multiplex bus electronic units (3) are incorporated in the casings (2) of the connectors, the same having on the component side (2b) the requisite number of contacts and on the back a four-pole multiplex connector (1, 2a) for two signal lines and two power lines.

Multiplex control of components and subsystems in motor vehicles

A water-tight contact pin plug assembly in cast plastic parts (1), more particularly plug casings. The contact pins (2) have cross-sectional variations over their cast part length comprising at least two truncated cones (3a, 3b) which are substantially rotationally symmetrical relatively to the pin axis and the major base surfaces of which form shoulders (5) respectively situated opposite the nearest surface of the plastic part. The distance d between the shoulders (5) and the associated surfaces of the plastic part (1) is large enough to prevent the parts from breaking open in the shoulder zone.

Water-tight contact pin plug assembly

An electric connector, in particular between a generator and an electronic controller for inflatable motor vehicle airbags, with a connector housing for housing contact tubes with leads. In the coupling position, the connector housing lifts a jumper, disposed in a receptacle for the generator-sided plug pins, from the plug pins. To simplify the assembly and mount the connector reliably on the generator, the connector housing (1) has an assembly opening (2) which can be closed by a cover member (11) which is slidable over the assembly opening (2) and can be retained on the connector housing (1) by a pin (16), arranged in front of the cover member in the push-on direction. Guide elements (12, 13, 14, 15) are attached to the front and rear regions of the longitudinal sides, and which can be arrested at the connector housing (1) in a preclick-stop position and click-stop position by shoulders (21) on the longitudinal sides, and strip-shaped extensions (18), which reach in the click-stop position as the blocking element behind hook-shaped spring elements (19, 20), which are attached to the connector housing (1) and engage with recesses (24) of the generator (29), and prevent a return swing of the spring elements.

In the case of an electric socket contact for insertion into a socket housing with a sleeve body and a laminated cage, which is attached axially to said sleeve body, for the displaceably pressing reception of a contact pin and attachment means, which are designed at the sleeve body, e.g. crimp extensions for connecting leads, there are for the purpose of making early contact and a reliable central guide of the contact pin the laminated cage (4), which is formed by a cylindrically rolled flat sheet metal blank (6), which exhibits a cylindrical base member (7) with two contact tongues (8), which are punched diametrically to each other and which are bent into the laminated cage in the direction of the free end and then are bent back toward the outside; and a cylindrical annular member (9) reaches at a distance over the free ends (8') near the plug opening (13); and wherein at a distance there are strip elements (14), which are connected rigidly to the annular member (9) and the base member (7) next to the contact tongues (8) and which exhibit depressions (10), hollows or the like, which point in the direction of the center longitudinal axis of the laminated cage, as mechanical guide members for the contact pin (11).

Blade contact for electric plugs

An electrical spring contact having an inner spring contact with an inner spring base and inner spring arms. A box-shaped outer spring with an outer spring base and outer spring arms is connected to the inner spring base of the inner spring. The outer spring arms are bent inwardly in a funnel-shaped way at the plug-in end, and the inner spring and the outer spring are formed by molded sheet metal parts. The outer spring has a bending slot extending across its total length, and the spring contact is insertable in a chamber of a receiving casing and arrestable in the latter by holding members. The lateral surfaces of the outer spring extending between the two outer spring arms are provided with recesses bordered by support surfaces. The support surfaces are axially supported by holding members projecting into the chamber of a receiving case.
