A method is provided for electrically conductively connecting a contact part to a conductor having a multiplicity of individual wires includes inserting the conductor into a cavity in the contact part and lowering a tool for friction stir welding onto the contact part. The tool for friction stir welding is moved on the contact part in a plane, thus giving rise to a planar cohesive connection between the contact part and the conductor. In this way, a direct cohesive connection of a stranded conductor and a contact part is produced without the need for an additional part such as a sleeve, for example, to prevent the stranded conductor from 'sticking out'.

An arrangement for wireless transmission of electrical signals in a motor vehicle maintains a cassette equipped with a stator () and a rotor () rotatably mounted in the stator () is arranged on the steering wheel of the motor vehicle, where the cassette has at least one electrical line extending in windings mounted between stator and rotor. The stator of the cassette is connected to the steering column, while the rotor is connected to the steering wheel. The transmitter () is arranged in the immediate vicinity of the stator () of the cassette and the receiver () is mechanically connected to the rotor () of the cassette and electrically to at least one electrical line () with a display () for displaying received signals.

Arrangement for wireless transmission of electrical signals in a motor vehicle

A method for attaching a contact element to the end of an electrical conductor is provided. In the method electrically conductive material is shaped to form a contact element with a variable shape. The end of the bare conductor is firstly moved into an at least approximately vertical position. Particles of an electrically conductive material are then applied at a high speed to the upwardly projecting front-side end of the conductor in the axial direction thereof that the material of the conductor connects to the electrically conductive material to form a compact structure which is connected to the material of the conductor in a mechanically fixed and electrically conductive fashion. Additional particles of the electrically conductive material are applied to the compact structure, and the metal body is shaped mechanically to form the contact element.

Method for attaching a contact element to the end of an electrical conductor

A method is disclosed for moisture tight covering a connection point between an electrical conductor. The method includes exposing the conductor at its end by removing the insulation and subsequently electrically conductively connecting the end of the conductor, from which the insulation has been removed, to the contact element. After the connection point is finished, a foil of insulation material is positioned underneath the connection point, where the foil rests against the insulation of the conductor and at least partially against the contact element. Subsequently, a sealing material capable of hardening is applied from above onto the conductor, wherein the sealing material is flowable during its application and subsequently changes over by hardening into a mechanically stable state which extends beyond the insulation of the conductor and beyond the contact element and is connected tightly to the foil.

Method for moisture proof covering a connection point between an electrical conductor and a contact element

Specified is an arrangement for supplying power to a motor vehicle which is equipped with an electric motor and in which there is arranged at least one rechargeable electric battery to which the electric motor is connected. The arrangement includes a stationary charging station which is equipped with an electric power source and to which an electric line having at least two mutually insulated electrical conductors is connected, a part of an electrical coupling for connecting to a complementary coupling part present on or in the motor vehicle being attached to the free ends of said electrical conductors, said coupling part being connected to the battery in an electrically conductive manner. The electric line is surrounded along its entire axial length by a thermally insulated and flexible tube made of metal which is closed all around and which, in addition to the line, encloses a cavity along its entire axial length. A flowable medium refrigerated to a temperature of at least &#x2212;160&#xb0; C. is contained in the space enclosed by the tube, and a thermally insulated storage tank containing a store of the refrigerated medium is arranged in the charging station, the tube being connected to said storage tank.

Arrangement for supplying power to a motor vehicle equipped with an electric motor

An arrangement for electrically conductively connecting a cup shaped copper contact part to an electrical conductor that is made of a plurality of individual wires containing aluminum. The arrangement has a cup-shaped contact part, which includes a bottom and a cylindrical sleeve integrally connected to and projecting away from the bottom with tight contact of the sleeve to the conductor. The cup-shaped contact part is configured to be pushed onto the conductor until the end face of the conductor rests against the bottom of the contact part. At least one rotating tool is configured to be removably placed with sustained pressure, subsequently to the cup-shaped contact part, until the material of the conductor is softened due to the increased temperature of the material of the conductor due to friction to such an extent that it integrally connects to the contact part.

Arrangement for electrically conductively connecting a contact piece to an electrical connector

An arrangement () is provided for electrically connecting a movable structural component of a motor vehicle mounted on a central unit with electrical elements in a body of a motor vehicle. The movable structural component is pivotally fastened about at least two points of rotation () to an axis of rotation () on the vehicle body. A number of electrical elements are connected to the electrical lines fastened to a cable set () which is partially mounted in a free space between the vehicle body and the movable structural component. The cable set () is arranged and secured with a straight configuration between two points of rotation () surrounded by a protective element. The center axis () of the cable set () corresponds at least partially to the axis of rotation of the movable component.

Arrangement for electrically connecting electrical elements to a central unit in a motor vehicle

Method for manufacturing an electrically effective point of contact on the end of an electrical conductor with a plurality of stranded wires composed of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. At the end of the conductor arranged with the vertical course, initially a holder is placed surrounding the conductor so that the front side of the conductor is exposed and the point is accessible from the top. After the point of the conductor is in an axial direction, on the front surface a heat source of a temperature from 2000&#xb0; C. and higher heats the surface. The material of the individual wires surrounding oxide layer are melted or steamed away until all the wires of the conductor including the same surrounding oxide layer form a one-piece combined aluminum composed contact part. After that the contact part together with the end of the conductor is cooled.

Method for manufacturing an effective electric contact point at the end of an electrical line

A device () covers the connection point () between two elongate, electrically conductive components () in a moisture-tight manner. The device has a tubular sleeve () that surrounds the connection point (). In the mounted position, a sealing element () is attached to each of the two axial ends of the sleeve (), which sealing element closes the sleeve () and lies tightly against the wall of the sleeve and has a feed-through () for one of the electrically conductive components (), which feed-through is matched to the shape of the electrically conductive component () in such a way that said electrically conductive component is tightly surrounded. In the mounted position, a cover () that encompasses the sleeve and the sealing element () located in the sleeve is attached to each of the ends of the sleeve (), which cover has a feed-through () for one of each of the electrically conductive components (). In the mounted position, the covers () are attached to the sleeve () where each of the sealing elements () is clamped between the cover () and the sleeve ().

Sealing the connection point between two conductors

An arrangement is provided for the current supply of electrical users arranged in a motor vehicle. At least two mechanically stable and electrically conductive support elements () are arranged in the bottom portion of the motor vehicle (), where the support elements () extend essentially over the entire length of the motor vehicle (). The two support elements () are at one end thereof, each electrically conductively connected to one of the poles of the voltage source () and have over their entire length contact points () which are separate from each other for connection of the users.

A cooling apparatus for a motor vehicle having a drive which comprises two motors, of which one is an internal combustion engine and the other is an electric motor () which is connected to an inverter (), which is connected to an electrical energy source (), via electrical cables (). For the purpose of cooling the energy source () and the inverter (), the latter are each equipped with at least one cooling element, which directly surrounds the energy source or inverter, for conducting a fluid coolant. The electrical cables () are combined with at least two pipes which at one end are connected to the cooling elements of the energy source () and inverter () and at the other end are connected to a heat exchanger () in order to form a coolant circuit.
