A radar target emulator with a superimposition apparatus, having a first input provided to receive a first signal, a second input provided to receive a second signal, a first attenuation device that is connected to the first input in signal-carrying fashion and configured to attenuate the first signal, in particular to a predetermined extent, and to provide a first attenuated signal, a second attenuation device that is connected to the second input in signal-carrying fashion and configured to attenuate the second signal, in particular to a predetermined extent, and to provide a second attenuated signal, an addition device that is configured to add the first attenuated signal and the second attenuated signal and to output a corresponding output signal.

Radar target emulator having a superimposition apparatus and method for superimposing signals

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for converting a radar signal for further signal processing in a test bench with a radar target emulator as well as a test bench having such an apparatus. A divider assembly preferably comprises a divider device configured to reduce a frequency and a bandwidth of the radar signal by a first factor for the further signal processing. A multiplier assembly preferably comprises a multiplier device configured to increase a frequency and a bandwidth of the radar signal by the first factor subsequent the further signal processing.

Device and method for converting a radar signal, and test bench

A switching device for a radar target emulator is provided comprising: at least one first switch arrangement and a second switch arrangement, each having a branching device designed to receive a first input signal and diverge it into a branch signal and a first output signal, a switch adapted to transmit the branch signal in a first switching state within the switch arrangement and to not transmit in a second switching state, and adding means designed to emit the signal transmitted in the first switching state of the switch, at least as components of a second output signal. The first switching arrangement and the second switching arrangement are interconnected in such a way that a first input signal of the second switching arrangement comprises a first output signal of the first switching arrangement, or a second input signal of the second switching arrangement comprises a second output of the first switching arrangement.
