A method is provided for transmitting control information between a line-switching and a packet-switching communications network. A signaling connection is set up in a packet-switching network in order to transmit signaling packets which form connection-independent control information which relates to at least one service feature in a line-switching communications network so that at least one service feature of the line-switching communications network may be used in the packet-switching communications network by means of the control information independently of the connection.

Method for transmitting control information between a line-switching and a packet-switching communications network

A lighting system, which may be used, for example, as an airport lighting system, as a street lighting system, as an obstruction warning light, as an illuminated sign, as a warning light, or as a signal light or the like. The lighting system includes a device for monitoring and controlling its light sources or groups of light sources. The light sources have at least one respective lighting unit, with which a transceiver device is associated. The transceiver device includes a microcontroller and is, via a power supply line and a router, connected to a central station. The central station includes a transceiver part and a control computer and supplies the transceiver device with control commands. To ensure that larger lighting systems can be safely operated with a comparatively low expenditure, the microcontrollers of each lighting unit are components of a decentralized control device. The decentralized control device includes application-specific components, such as switching components, monitoring components, and adjustment components. Therein, the larger lighting systems include a plurality of light sources that are to be controlled and regulated on an individual basis. The transceiver device is structured as a module part disposed on a sickle-shaped printed circuit board and disposed next to the lighting unit.

In order to be able to ensure with low outlay a slip ring or commutator motor having a high level of freedom from noise and good running quality at maximum power, despite unavoidable deviations from circularity of the slip ring or commutator ground by the brushes abutting thereon, it is proposed according to the invention that the brushes (6; 7; 8) be supported such that they can pivot about an axis which runs radially in the vicinity of the surface and axially essentially in the axial direction of the commutator (1) or slip ring; that, according to one embodiment, the axis be formed by a guide pin (31; 41), which is retained in a brush housing (2) at least partially embracing the brush (6; 7) in the vicinity of the surface of the commutator (1) or the slip ring, and which is plugged axially through a guide slot (61; 71) running in the compression direction of the brush and open towards the surface of the slip ring or commutator (1), or that the brush (6) be tangentially embraced externally by the brush compression spring (3a) in the sense of a support with tangential supporting parts (33a; 34a), which can pivot.

Motor and/or generator operating according to the reluctance principle

A motor and/or generator functioning according to the reluctance principle, has stator sectors distributed over the circumference of the rotor, each with radially projecting pole shanks around which a concentrated exciter coil part is wrapped. The pole shanks are connected by a short-circuit yoke, in that the pole shanks are laterally offset at an angle relative to the radial center line of symmetry of the stator sector in question. This allows a significant reduction in the structural size, while guaranteeing the operational effectiveness.

In order to reduce, in a permanent magnet-excited electric motor with at least four poles, the cost for the machining and assembly of a magnet arrangement and to thereby lower the production costs, a magnet arrangement with a magnetic surface radially magnetized with an alternating pole sequence which is composed of three indvidual segments following each other in the circumferential direction, with a pole division extending beyond two adjacent individual segments.

In order to assure in a simple manner and with the smallest axial mounting space, a low-noise bearing support having little radial unbalance, two axial ball bearings (2, 3) are provided with a firm fit relative to the rotor shaft (1) and mutually braced axially by an interposed spring washer. A permanent magnet-excited rotor motor is disclosed wherein, a circuit board (6) mounted on a radial motor attachment flange (22) is arranged. The front and rear sides of the circuit board (6) are equipped with conductor strips. On the front side, Hall transducers (15) influenced by rotor magnets (81) in a speed dependent manner are mounted. A flat cable brought in from the outside is divided into a first cable portion (12), passed through from the front with supply and signal voltage lines for the Hall transducers (15), and into a second cable portion (13) passed through from the back to the front with winding feed lines for the stator coil winding ends (14), which are likewise passed through from the back to the front of the circuit board (6) and thus can be soldered to the freely accessible front side.

An electric multiphase motor with a closed ring housing and a pole piece star which is inserted therein after being wound from the outside, the pole piece star having axially integral pole pieces which are arranged in star-like fashion around a hollow cylinder and inserted therein in which great strength of the pole star is achieved while at the same time ensuring good electrical data by inserting the radially inner ends of the pole pieces into the hollow cylinder as individual parts up to the bore of the hollow cylinder so that after the assembly of the motor no further finishing operations are required and welding the radially outer ends of the pole pieces to the inside to the surrounding ring housing by electron beam welding starting at the outer circumference of the ring housing.

Method of making a stator for an electric multiphase motor

An improved stator for an electric polyphase motor, particularly a stepping motor, is disclosed. The stator includes a pole piece star having axially integral pole pieces arranged in star-like fashion around the hollow cylinder with the radial inner ends of the pole pieces located in the hollow cylinder and protruding a pre-determined small distance beyond the inner wall of the hollow cylinder. Thus, the hollow cylinder is set back from the radial inner edges of the pole pieces to provide minimum sized air gaps without requiring finishing operations on the cylinder after the motor is assembled. The radial outer ends of the pole pieces are welded to the surrounding ring housing by laser beam welding. The hollow cylinder is disclosed as an injection-molded part with the pole pieces molded therein simultaneous with the injection molding. A core mold for the cylinder is also disclosed.

A method for D.C. braking a three-phase asynchronous machine and a circuit arrangement useful in implementing the method. For braking, the first and third stator windings are separated from their phases and a pulsating direct current is caused to flow from the second phase to the first phase via a closed second switch and a diode. The third winding is short-circuited by a third switch which is connected in a loop with a current transformer; the loop carries a current induced by the turning rotor. A signal from the current transformer flows, via a limit indicator, to a digital logic member (OR). When the motor stops, short-circuit current flow is no longer detected, the second switch is opened and the circuit for producing direct current is automatically disconnected.

A stator arrangement for a small motor, particularly of the claw-pole type. The stator arrangement is provided with first and second stator subassemblies which are formed from respective pairs of pole laminations which are contained within a common housing. The common housing is provided with axial slots having predetermined circumferential width and axial depth for engaging radial protrusions of the pole laminations. In this manner, the axial and rotative orientation of the pole laminations, and the stator subassemblies, are advantageously predetermined within the cylindrical housing.
