An in-vehicle transponder communicates with roadside readers to transmit a data stream of information that has been previously presented to the transponder. The transponder accepts multiple data cards and the identification numbers of the vehicle occupants for transmission to roadside transceivers.

Wake-up circuit for an electronic apparatus

A data receiver circuit for infrared signals, in particular for toll systems on roads, comprises several infrared detectors ( ) the signals of which are supplied to a summing circuit so as to increase the useful power while suppressing interfering signals. To improve the signal/noise ratio, it is provided that several input circuits are provided with an infrared detector ( to ) each and with an associated separate amplifier ( to ), and that these input circuits are connected in parallel to the summing circuit ( ).
