An interface system for mechanically decoupling a cooling system includes: a housing having an opening; an inset having opposite first and second sides; an interface body having first and second ends and a bore-hole open to the first and second ends thereof. The inset has a recess in the second side to accommodate the interface body. The interface body is at least partially inserted into the inset, and the inset is at least partially inserted into the opening in the housing such that the first side of the inset is inside the housing. The first side of the inset has an opening open to the bore-hole of the interface body. One end of the bore-hole is configured to slidably receive an inlet of a cooling pipe, and the other end of the bore-hole is configured to be connected, in a fluid-tight manner, with an external coolant supply or coolant discharge.

Robust interface for cooler to housing

The present invention refers to a battery module comprising a plurality of battery cells, each battery cell including a first terminal and a second terminal spaced apart and electrically isolated from one another, a housing including an upper housing part and a lower housing part assembled together to completely surround the plurality of battery cells, and a plurality of bus bars integrated in the upper housing part, wherein each of the plurality of bus bars is connected to one of the first and second terminals of at least two battery cells. The present invention further refers to a method of manufacturing the battery module, which is fast and easy and has a high tolerance for fluctuations in the battery cells height.

A battery module housing system for cooling a battery module, includes: a lower part having a plate shape, an upper side, and a lower side, the lower part including at least one coolant inlet and at least one coolant outlet that are integrally formed with the lower part; and an upper part to receive the battery module, the upper part having a tub shape and including a bottom tile having an upper side and a lower side, the bottom tile being integrally formed with the upper part. The upper side of the lower part is to be connected to the lower side of the bottom tile to define a cavity between the upper side of the lower part and the lower side of the bottom tile, the cavity defining a liquid-tight hollow interior that is accessible via the at least one coolant inlet and the at least one coolant outlet.

Battery module housing system with integrated cooling means

A battery system having at least a pair of battery modules, each battery module having a base plate and a cell stack secured on a base surface of the base plate. A first offset is arranged on a first side of the base plate and a first section is arranged on a second side opposite the first side. First threaded holes are arranged in the first offset and in the first section, parallel to the direction of extent of the first offset and of the first section. The battery modules are connected to one another via the auxiliary frame by screwing into the first threaded holes through through-holes arranged in the auxiliary frame.
