A longitudinally adjustable connecting rod for a piston engine, where the connecting rod includes a first connecting rod end for receiving a piston pin and a second connecting rod end for receiving a crankshaft journal, where the distance between the piston pin and the crankshaft journal is adjustable in the longitudinal direction (A) of the connecting rod by way of a hydraulic control device with a hydraulic control valve. The hydraulic control valve comprises a control cylinder and a control slide which is guided in a slidable manner in the control cylinder and which can be pressurized, and at least one outlet valve which can be actuated by the control slide. The control slide comprises a control piston which is arranged on the end face, with a control pressure surface which can be subjected to the hydraulic control pressure and which defines a control pressure chamber in the control cylinder. The use of such a longitudinally adjustable connecting rod with a hydraulic control device in a piston engine as well as a corresponding piston engine is also provided.

A length-adjustable connecting rod for a reciprocating piston machine, which may be a reciprocating piston internal combustion engine, is disclosed as well as a reciprocating piston machine and a vehicle. The connecting rod comprises a hydraulic length-adjusting device for adjusting an effective connecting rod length and a control device that can switch between two switching states, for controlling the length-adjusting device. The length-adjusting device comprises a hydraulic cylinder with a piston and a first hydraulic working chamber and a second hydraulic working chamber, the control device comprising a first valve and a second valve, the first valve of the control device being connected to the first hydraulic working chamber of the length-adjusting device in a fluid-communicating manner, and the second valve to the second hydraulic working chamber, the first valve and the second valve each being actuatable by means of a hydraulically actuatable adjusting piston that can axially move along an adjusting axis, the adjusting axis of the first valve being different from the adjusting axis of the second valve.

Variable valve control device for internal combustion engines

The invention relates to a length-adjustable connecting rod () for a reciprocating-piston machine, in particular for an internal combustion engine, comprising at least one first rod part () having a small connecting rod eye () and a second rod part () having a large connecting rod eye (), which two rod parts can be moved in relation to each other and/or in each other in a telescopic manner, wherein the second rod part forms a guiding cylinder () and the first rod part forms a piston element () that can be longitudinally displaced in the guiding cylinder, wherein a first high-pressure chamber () is spanned between the second rod part and the piston element on the side of the piston element facing the large connecting rod eye, into which first high-pressure chamber at least one first oil channel () leads, in which in particular a first check valve () opening in the direction of the first high-pressure chamber is arranged, wherein at least a first return channel () extends from the first high-pressure chamber, an outflow cross-section of which return channel can be closed by a control valve () in a first position and can be opened by the control valve in a second position, wherein the control valve preferably has a control piston () that can be axially displaced in an accommodating bore () of the second rod part of the connecting rod, which control piston in particular can be moved into the first position by means of a return spring () and can be moved into the second position against the force of the return spring by means of an actuating force. In order to be able to change the compression ratio as simply possible, the piston element according to the invention is designed as a piston that is operative at both ends.

Length-adjustable con rod

A length-adjustable connecting rod for a reciprocating-piston engine. At least one first rod part and second rod part are telescopically displaceable relative to and/or into one another. The second rod part forms a guide cylinder and the first rod part forms a piston element which is longitudinally displaceable in the guide cylinder. Between the first and second rod parts is a high-pressure chamber into which at least one first oil duct opens. At least one control valve is arranged in the first oil duct, with an actuator thereof to be displaced into a first position by a spring and into a second position by oil pressure against the force of the spring. To permit adjustment of the compression ratio, a second oil duct formed as a feed duct opens into the high-pressure chamber and in which a check valve is arranged which opens in the direction of the high-pressure chamber.

In order to reduce the production effort it is provided that&#x2014;when seen in the direction of the axis () of the crankshaft ()&#x2014;a first pin () which is arranged in a borehole () and arranged as an alignment pin is positioned in the region of the face side () of the crankcase () on a straight connecting line () between the axis () of the mass balancing shaft () and the axis () of the crankshaft (), with preferably the first pin () being arranged in the crankcase () and the borehole () in the flanged bush ().

An internal combustion engine has at least one cylinder and at least one gas exchange valve () controlled by a first cam () on a first camshaft () and by a second cam () on a second camshaft (), at least one camshaft () having an adjustable phase position in order to modify the control times of the gas exchange valve (). The first cam () acts upon actuating means () and the second cam () upon actuating means () which actuate the gas exchange valve (). The actuating means () are designed in such a way that the gas exchange valve () opens only when both the first cam () and the second cam () are acting upon the actuating means (). A simple structure with very high degrees of freedom for the control is achieved in that the actuating means () comprise a lever which actuates the gas exchange valve () and is actuated by both cams ().

Internal combustion engine

A cylinder liner for a liquid-cooled internal combustion engine, includes a cylinder liner collar which is adjacent to a cylinder head sealing plane and into which is formed at least one circular cooling duct. In order to ensure adherence to a temperature window between a maximum temperature and a minimum temperature during operation, the cross section of the cooling duct is formed by a closed profile line within the cylinder liner collar, and the cross section of the cooling duct has a substantially oblong shape whose height as measured substantially in the direction of the cylinder liner axis is larger than its maximum width as measured substantially in the radial direction of the cylinder liner, with the arrangement and/or the cross-sectional shape of the cooling duct being provided in such a way that the cooling of the cylinder liner collar is higher in an upper zone which is closest to the cylinder head sealing plane than in a lower zone of the cooling duct which is disposed remotest from the cylinder head sealing plane.

An electric braking device for measuring the torque of an engine includes a rotor rotating with a shaft and a stator which is tiltably supported in a housing by a bearing at either of its front ends, each end being provided with a disk-shaped bearing shield with a pivot journal. To prevent the measured results from being influenced by the stator bearings hydrostatic swivel bearings are used, one being axially movable and the other axially immovable. Each hydraulic swivel bearing includes a ring slipped over a pivot journal of the bearing shield the ring being supported by two bearing bodies secured against rotating, the latter being located one on either side of a longitudinal center plane containing the shaft axis and below a transverse plane containing the shaft axis and being normal to the center plane. Each bearing body includes a bearing pad and a supporting body permanently attached to the housing, the bearing pad is tiltably supported by the supporting body, and the ring of the axially immovable bearing is supported by the bearing pad so as to be secured against axial shifting.
