A laminated glazing with at least one rigid pane and an adhesive layer assembled to the rigid plane by surface bonding, via which a protective and/or functional sheet is applied to the rigid pane. The protective sheet is set back relative to an outer edge of the rigid pane, at least in certain parts. At least one retaining element is placed on the edge of the rigid pane in the region of the set-back of the protective sheet. The retaining element has a thickness approximately corresponding, or corresponding, to the maximum thickness of the adhesive layer at the edge of the protective sheet and is partially covered by the protective sheet at least in defined parts.

The invention is aimed at a substrate, in particular window pane, with an electrically conducting and heatable coating, at least one communication window made in the latter in the form of an interruption of said coating, the window being able to allow communication radiation used as signal carrying information to be transmitted therethrough and whose wavelength lies in a span of wavelengths that can be reflected or absorbed by the coating, and another electrically conducting element in contact with at least one part of edges of the window and in contact with the coating, characterized in that the communication window is provided with an electrically conducting covering and linked electrically to the other electrically conducting element.

An antenna arrangement for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic signals includes a flat carrier substrate made of a dielectric material, a first conducting track applied to a surface of the carrier substrate, a second conducting track applied to an other surface of the carrier substrate. The first conducting track includes at one end a point of contact to gather or inject signals and a first dipole at the opposite end. The second conducting track includes at one end a point of contact to gather or inject the signals and a second dipole at the opposite end. The first and the second dipoles form a crossed dipole. An antenna glazing for automobiles, including an electrically conducting cladding extending surface-wise over the surface of the glazing up to a zone of the free edge of the cladding, serving as an antenna element, and a coupling electrode furnished with external connections, coupled in the capacitive regime to the electrically conducting cladding with interposition of an insulating layer. The coupling electrode is composed at least of one thin wire, which starts from the zone at the edge of the glazing, is conducted over the surface covered by the cladding, and is returned to the zone of the edge with at least one fold, so that the two ends of the wire are situated in the zone of the edge of the glazing.

A process for manufacturing a multilayer element with a transparent surface electrode, an electro-luminescent lighting film, and a second surface electrode. To form the transparent surface electrode, a thin-film multilayer system, including at least an electrically conducting part film and thereafter a dielectric part film, is applied to a substrate. An EL lighting film and at least the second surface electrode are applied one after the other on the thin-film multilayer system by screen printing. The two surface electrodes are respectively connected to an electrical connection element for connection to the voltage source.

An antenna window with a high-frequency electric component placed fixedly on one of its surfaces, which is electrically connected to a conductor structure provided on the same surface of the window. The high-frequency component has at least one flat coupling electrode, which is kept at a specific distance from the flat conductor structure conducting high-frequency antenna signals, by an intermediate dielectric layer, to form the electrical connection.

A heated window with an electrically conducting surface coating that may be electrically connected as a heating element to a voltage source using a first and a second current-collecting rail and that is split into a first part, a heated look-through region, and a second part, an additional heated region. In the heated window at least two current-collecting rails are arranged in the additional heated region so that the direction in which the current flows in the additional heated region is roughly perpendicular to the direction in which the current flows in the heated look-through region.

The invention concerns a laminated glass pane () with at least a rigid pane and a flat electrically controlled functional element () as well as at least a thin electrically conductive coat (), wherein, in accordance with the invention, the coat () also constitutes a flat electrode of the functional element, the coat being capable of being heated by being powered with an electric voltage, independently of the power supply of the functional element (). Thus, unwanted variations of the optical properties of the functional elements are reduced when such a laminated glass pane is used at highly fluctuating temperatures, in particular at low temperatures.

A transparent sheet, which may particularly be used as a glazing has a radiation-reflective coating and at least one window permeable to high-frequency radiation. The window includes an area devoid of coating. The window is formed within a region of limited continuous area of the sheet, in which the ratio of the area devoid of coating to the total area of the transparent sheet is at least 25% in the case of the distribution, when flat, of the uncoated and coated areas.

In a contact device for an electrical functional element, for example an antenna, disposed on a window, in particular on a vehicle window, with a housing fixed on the window and comprising electrical components, such as an amplifier, with an input connection between the housing and the functional element, which is also fixed on the window, and with output links in accordance with the invention, the input connection (,) is, in two different variants, each time surrounded by an adhesive layer, independently of its placement in electrical contact; in one of the variants, it is disposed outside the housing (,), in the other variant it is overlain by the housing (,). The electrical contact to the functional element is effected during or after bonding the housing and respectively the input connection, preferably by soldering, so as to ensure particularly reliable placement in contact.

An electrically heated composite glass sheet including heating element wires deposited and fixed in place on the thermoplastic film connecting the individual glass sheets together so as to extend from the one film edge as far as the opposite film edge. The heating wires are connected in parallel with buses, which are arranged at a predetermined distance from the edge of the film. Directly adjacent to the buses, the sections of the wires which are arranged between the buses and the edge of the film are severed by moving two electrodes, which are connected with a power supply, into contact with the wires. The electric current heats the wires between the electrodes to their fusion temperature and thereby severs the wires.
