Embodiments relate to a system for transmitting data in a motor vehicle. A central electronic control unit comprises at least one LIN master, and at least one local controller, which is coupled to the central controller by means of a first data connection. The local controller is additionally coupled to a LIN bus, which is paired with the LIN master and to which at least one LIN slave is connected. The data transmission speed of the first data connection between the central controller and the local controller is faster than the data transmission speed of the LIN bus. Methods for actuating a LIN slave connected to a LIN bus and to a motor vehicle are also provided.

A storage battery arrangement includes a plurality of storage battery cells connected in series, a central network node designed to transmit data using the storage battery cells and connected to the series connection of storage battery cells, a plurality of cell network nodes designed to transmit data using the storage battery cells, where each cell network node is connected in parallel to a storage battery cell. The storage battery arrangement also includes a control device designed to command at least one first cell network node to apply a test signal having at least one predetermined frequency to a first storage battery cell to which said first cell network node is connected, and to command a second cell network node connected to a second storage battery cell to determine, based on a signal response of the second storage battery cell to the test signal, at least one condition of the second storage battery cell.

A time-division multiplex method for serial data transmission includes executing a first priority resolution for messages to be transmitted by a plurality of stations on a communications channel and which are assigned to a first prefix, and transmitting a first data frame by a first station of the multiplicity of stations, wherein the first station transmits a first message with the first prefix and with the highest priority, during a predefined first access slot. The method also includes executing a second priority resolution for messages to be transmitted on the communications channel and which are assigned to a second prefix, and then transmitting of a second data frame by a second station of the plurality of stations, where the second station transmits a second message with the second prefix and with the highest priority of the second priority resolution, during a predefined second access slot.

A method for operating a station for serial data transmission using data frames in a communication network, configured to perform a carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA) method, includes performing a first priority resolution for a specific first data frame to be transmitted on a communication channel, and establishing whether the specific first data frame to be transmitted has a highest priority. The method also includes performing a first backoff if the specific first data frame has the highest priority, transmitting the specific first data frame if the communication channel is free after the backoff, and raising the priority of the specific first data frame, in the absence of acknowledgement of the transmission of the specific data frame, to a priority level that is used exclusively for untransmitted data frames.

Station and method for serial data transmission using dynamic reprioritizing of data frames

A method for setting up and operating a multiple communication link in a wireless communication apparatus, which includes a first wireless transceiver and a second wireless transceiver, includes setting up a first communication link according to an IEEE standard 802.15.1 using the first wireless transceiver. The method also includes setting up a second communication link according to an IEEE standard 802.11 using the second wireless transceiver, and setting up a third communication link according to an IEEE standard 802.15.1 using the first wireless transceiver, on a channel of the second communication link. Moreover, the method includes simultaneously operating the first communication link, the second communication link and the third communication link, wherein the second communication link and the third communication link are both simultaneously operated on the same channel of the second communication link.

An internal combustion engine includes an electromagnetic actuator for operating a gas exchange valve, this actuator being situated on a cylinder head. The actuator includes a switchable electromagnet which is situated between two armatures. The armatures are axially set apart on a common armature shaft. A cavity is configured in the cylinder head, in which the actuator armature on the cylinder head side is at least partially accommodated, and the electromagnet at least partially delimits the cavity on the actuator side. This results in a compact internal combustion engine.
