A device for fixing a push element, in particular a drawer box to a rail of a pull-out guide, the device comprising a clamping mechanism with a receptacle, into which a web-shaped holding part can be inserted, wherein a self-locking clamping element is provided at the receptacle, by means of which the holding part is secured in a clamping manner against being pulled out. As a result, a particularly stable fixation of the drawer box to a pull-out guide can be achieved.

Device and method for fixing a push element

A device for fixing a push element, in particular a drawer box to a rail of a pull-out guide, the device comprising a clamping mechanism with a receptacle, into which a web-shaped holding part can be inserted, wherein a self-locking clamping element is provided at the receptacle, by which the holding part is secured in a clamping manner against being pulled out. In this way, a particularly stable fixation of the drawer box to a pull-out guide can be achieved.

An escalator handrail drive arrangement includes a drive belt () mounted within a drive housing (). Pressure rollers () are mounted in pairs and pivotally attached to the drive housing. The pressure rollers bias a handrail () against the drive belt. The pressure roller arrangements are mounted at each axial end. A spring () biases the pressure roller arrangements against the handrail, with the spring being centered along the axial length of the pressure rollers. This spring is preferably mounted within the drive housing such that no additional space is required outwardly of the drive and roller arrangement to accommodate the spring.

Escalator linear belt handrail drive

An escalator drive assembly () includes a sensor that facilitates detecting when the normal drive assembly operation is interrupted, such that a brake should be activated. In one example, a sensor member () in the form of a flange () is associated with a drive pulley () and normally rotates in unison with the drive pulley. When there is a failure in the normal operation of the drive mechanism, however, there is a resulting relative movement between the sensor member () and the drive pulley (). Such relative motion preferably activates a switch () that provides a signal that indicates a failure of the normal operation of the drive mechanism (). Another example sensor includes a sensor member () that engages a drive belt (). If the belt () breaks, the sensor member () moves to provide an indication of the broken belt condition. Various braking application modes are possible using the invention.

Passenger conveyor () including an endless conveyor band () comprised of a plurality of tread elements () connected to and driven by a drive chain () at each lateral edge thereof, a moving flange moving in use together with the conveyor band (), the moving flange being comprised of a plurality of discs () attached to the tread elements () and a plurality of bridges () each attached alternating between two consecutive discs (), wherein a groove and tongue () engagement is provided between bridge () and disc (), characterised in that an insert () made of a plastic material is provided between bridge () and disc ().

Moving flange for passenger conveyors

An escalator drive machine includes a motor output sheave which drives a drive belt along a closed look between the output sheave and a drive sprocket. The output sheave engages the drive belt with the step chain such that the step chain and attached tread plates are propelled from one landing to the other. The output sheave includes a first set of teeth and a second set of teeth. The first set of teeth is around the output sheave hub to engage a set of belt teeth extending from the drive belt. The second set of teeth is preferably located along a rim of the output sheave and is engageable with corresponding link teeth located along each link in the drive chain. The second set of teeth maintain their relationship with the corresponding link teeth due to the first set of teeth, however, there is no contact therebetween. However, should the drive belt fail or become disengaged, the second set of teeth engage the corresponding link teeth. The step chain and attached tread plates are thereby prevented from moving independently.

Belt drive back up device for escalator drive

Movement of the handrail on an escalator or moving walkway passenger conveyor is smoothed out by providing a totally elastomeric coupling between the conveyor step chain and the handrail drive mechanism. The handrail drive mechanism is a friction drive roller, or belt, which is driven by being connected to the step chain. The connection between the step chain and the handrail drive is provided by an elastomeric member which engages both a step chain-driven sprocket and the handrail drive mechanism. The elastomeric connection damps out jerks which are created by the chordal nature of the step chain and the main motor drive chain as the chains pass around chain return sprockets. The elastomeric connection therefore smooths out movement of the handrail.

Reduction of handrail vibration in passenger conveyors

A step platform for an escalator is provided, comprising a higher step and a lower step. The higher step includes a top surface and a support arm. The lower step has a main body, a raisable middle section, and apparatus for selectively raising the middle section. When the apparatus for selectively raising the middle section engages the support arms, the top surface of the middle section is maintained in the same plane as the top surface of the higher step.

Step Platform for an escalator

A step platform for an escalator having a step chain with a plurality of axles is provided comprising a lower step attached to an axle of the step chain, a higher step, attached to an axle of the step chain, having a middle section, and apparatus for actuating the middle section. The actuating apparatus is operated by the rotation of the step chain axles in the transition zones between the landings and the inclined midsection of the escalator.

An escalator handrail drive system includes a powered drive belt which engages the underneath surface of the handrail along the return path of travel of the latter. A series of pressure rollers engage the outer surface of the handrail to press the latter against the drive belt. The pressure rollers are all biased against the handrail by a single spring. The drive belt is pretensioned by an adjustable pretension spring assembly which can apply a fixed pretensioning force to the drive belt which will not substantially change irrespective of whether the handrail is being driven in the 'up' direction or in the 'down' direction on the escalator.

Moving handrail drive

An escalator or moving walkway handrail is driven by a pair of linear belts which engage opposite sides of the handrail along the return path of travel thereof. The belt that engages the underside of the handrail is a powered drive belt, and the belt that engages the upper-side of the handrail is a pressure or reaction belt. Both belts are held against the handrail by a set of biased pressure rollers which urge the reaction belt against the handrail. The belts serve to convert line contact with the pressure rollers into area contact with the handrail thereby spreading out the driving forces acting upon the handrail.
