A bearing assembly includes a bearing having a first bearing ring, a second bearing ring rotatably disposed relative to the first bearing ring, and a plurality of rolling elements in a bearing interior defined by the first bearing ring and the second bearing ring. Also, at least one layer of non-metallic material on the first bearing ring configured to conduct heat away from the first bearing ring and to electrically insulate the first bearing ring and to fill at least one cavity between the first bearing ring and a component to which the first bearing ring is mounted. The at least one layer may be a first layer of a heat-conducting material and a second layer of a different, electrically insulating material.

A method for installing a bearing assembly on a stationary component where the bearing assembly includes a bearing carrier, a stationary bearing ring rotationally secured to the bearing carrier and a rotatable bearing ring supported for rotation relative to the first bearing ring. The method includes inserting a portion of the bearing carrier into an opening in the stationary component or inserting a portion of the stationary component into the bearing carrier, using an alignment tool to position at least two exposed radial surface portions of the stationary bearing ring with a surface of the stationary component to produce a temporary alignment of a rotational axis of the stationary bearing ring with a central axis of the stationary component, after producing the temporary alignment, attaching the bearing carrier to the stationary component in a manner that maintains the alignment, and removing the alignment tool from the bearing ring.

Method for installing a bearing assembly on a stationary component

A cup assembly for a pin of a universal joint bearing includes a cup, a first seal ring attached to the cup, and a second seal ring. The first seal ring includes an elastic element and a spring element configured to preload the elastic element toward the pin, the second seal ring includes a dimensionally stable seal section that is configured to sealingly interact with the pin, and the second seal ring is connected to the cup either directly, or via the elastic element or via an elastic retainer. A bearing assembly includes a bearing unit formed from a stationary bearing ring configured to be connected to a stationary component and a rotatable bearing ring configured to be connected to a rotatable component and a bearing carrier connected to the stationary bearing ring in a rotationally fixed manner, for example, by overmolding. The bearing carrier includes at least one notch that exposes at least one section of the stationary bearing ring.

A wave spring having an axially resilient spring section including at least one one-layer wave-shaped spring configured to provide a spring force in an axial direction of the wave spring, and a radially resilient spring section configured to provide a spring force in a radial direction. A non-locating bearing assembly includes a bearing unit configured to support a rotating component relative to a stationary component, and the bearing unit includes a first stationary bearing ring and a second rotatable bearing ring that is fixedly connectable to the rotating component. The bearing assembly also includes a bearing carrier to which the stationary bearing ring is attached in a rotationally fixed but axially displaceable manner, and the bearing carrier is configured to be fixedly connected to the stationary component.

A non-locating bearing assembly includes a bearing unit configured to support a rotating component relative to a stationary component, the bearing unit including a stationary bearing ring and a rotatable bearing ring that are rotatable with respect to each other. The rotatable bearing ring is fixedly connectable to the rotating component, and the stationary bearing ring is mountable in the stationary component in a rotationally fixed but axially displaceable manner. A connector is provided between the stationary bearing ring and the stationary component to connect the bearing ring to the stationary component in an axially displaceable but substantially rotationally fixed manner, and the connection is provided by a combination of a friction fit and an interference fit acting in the circumferential direction.

An outer contact surface element of a one-way clutch is configured to contact at least one clamping body of the one-way clutch when an inner ring of the one-way clutch rotates in a first direction. The outer contact surface element includes a hollow-cylindrical section, and at least one radially outwardly projecting lug. The outer contact surface element may also include features for connecting the outer contact surface element to a support bearing.

A sealed universal joint bearing includes a pot-shaped component having a disk-shaped base and a cylindrical wall projecting from a periphery of the base, and an inner surface of the base and an inner surface of the cylindrical wall define an interior of the pot-shaped body. At least one row of rolling elements are configured to roll along the inner surface of the cylindrical wall. A flange in the interior of the pot-shaped component has a flange surface against which end sides of the rolling elements are configured to slip during bearing operation, and the flange surface includes at least one formation configured to reduce a contact area between the flange surface and the end sides of the rolling elements.
