A communications cable network, in a duct or tube system used primarily for other purposes, wherein the communications cables are mounted on the walls of the duct or tube system. Communication cable network in a duct or tube system used primarily for other purposes

The invention concerns a method of installing a telecommunication cable (3) on a supporting cable (1), particularly on a ground or phase cable of a high voltage overhead line, whereby the telecommunication cable (3) is laid along the supporting cable (1) and is attached thereto in undulating form with the help of attaching elements (5; 11; 13; 15). This arrangement makes it possible to make repairs in a simple way on the supporting cable (1) and the telecommunication cable (3).

Method for installing a telecommunication cable on a supporting cable

An optical fiber cable (1) or an optical fiber element has a number of superimposed and adjacent stacks of optical fiber ribbons (3) containing optical fiber ribbons (11), as well as an outer jacket (7). The stacks of optical fiber ribbons (3) are arranged over and/or adjacent to each other and in parallel. Such a construction of an optical fiber cable or an optical fiber element makes a particularly high packing density of the optical fibers possible, so that the optical fiber cable or the optical fiber element can have small outside dimensions even when it contains a large number of optical fibers.

An electrical overhead cable includes: cabled electrical conductors (3); tensile strength support elements (1, 2); and optical waveguide elements made of metal coated tubes (4) containing optical fibers (9). The metal coating on the optical fiber-containing tubes is a thin, self-enclosed metal layer (5), which is in direct contact with the surface of the tube (4).

To increase the identification characteristics of optical fibers (9) with one or more protective covers (10, 11) and an external color coating (12) of UV-hardened varnish, additional different color identification markings (13) are integrated into the external color coating (12).
