A base-plate distributing valve comprised of a valve body, a base-plate element and a valve element slidably disposed within a longitudinal bore of the valve body. Pressure medium line ports and pressure medium lines are contained within the valve body and the base-plate element. The base-plate element contains an opening into which the part of the valve body which contains the valve element may be inserted. Within the valve element are valves. A drive element controls the valve element which shifts position the position of the valves within the longitudinal bore of the valve body to permit alignment of the pressure medium lines for flow therethrough. Accordingly, when the valve body is inserted into the base-plate element in a pressure-medium-tight seal, a substantially straight-lined flow of a medium through the base-plate element at a high flow rate is achieved.

Base-plate distributing valve

The invention relates to a profiled tube for working cylinders without a piston rod having a cylinder chamber which extends in longitudinal direction and a piston guided movably therein and connected to pull means, and a carriage connected to the pull means and guided in a slide guide arranged on the profiled tube. In order to increase the torsional rigidity of a profiled tube for working cylinders having rodless pistons of this type, to guide the piston in a manner secured against turning and, at the same time, obtain a compact structural shape, the present invention provides a profiled tube have a closed single-piece cross section, that the cylinder chamber have an ovoid, preferably elliptical cross section arranged within the cross section of the profiled tube, that pressure-fluid guide channels extending in longitudinal direction are arranged within the cross section of the profiled tube, and that the slide guide is arranged along one of the outer longitudinal sides of the profiled tube and unitarily formed as a single piece with the tube.

Profiled tube for a working cylinder without a piston rod

A seal for a work cylinder operated with pressure fluid, through which cylinder an axially displaceable coupling element connected with the work cylinder, particularly a pull means, is extended in a fluid-tight manner from the inside of the cylinder. To obtain a better sealing of the inside of the cylinder under all possible operating conditions, particularly when using coupling elements developed as pull means of a cross-sectional shape other than circular, the seal is comprised of a single cup-shaped piece, the bottom surface of the seal being provided with a cuff which tapers conically in axial direction towards the cup-shaped inside of the seal. The cuff is provided with a sealing opening which permits the passage of the coupling element therethrough. The seal is provided with a sealing ring on the outer periphery in the region of the open end.

Seal for a work cylinder operated by pressurized fluid

A plug-type connection for a tubular body comprising a tubular holding element (1) slit in crown-like manner to form tongues (2) to receive the tubular body (30), and an annular collet (20) to be inserted onto the holding element (1) to clamp the end region of the tubular body (30) to the holding element (1). The collet (20) is a single piece and U-shaped in longitudinal section and has an inner arm (21) which is slit in crown-like manner and an outer arm (22). A circumferential shoulder (8) is formed on the holding element (1) outside the central bore (3). A pin (26) on the end of the outer arm (22) of the collet (20) fits into a depression (9) in the shoulder (8) of the holding element (1). A spherically shaped projection (27) fits into spherically shaped recess (10) in the shoulder (8) of the holding element (1). The recess (10 ) is staggered by an angle of rotation with respect to the depression (9). The spherically shaped projection (27) is located on the end of the pin (26).

A piston-cylinder unit for pressure fluids includes a housing bounded by a head piece at each end thereof; a cylinder disposed within the housing; a piston reciprocatingly movable within the cylinder; a pulley having a circumferential outer surface is mounted for rotation about an axis within each of the head pieces; a pull belt is secured to the piston and looped around the outer surface of the pulleys; a power pick-up is attached to the pull belt; a braking device for the pull belt is disposed within the head piece and juxtaposed with at least one of the pulleys and has a shape which is complementary to at least a portion of the circumferential surface of the pulley; and a feed conduit connected to the head piece for feeding the pressure fluid to the braking device.

A working cylinder which operates without a piston rod, comprising a cylinder tube, a piston which is displaceable therein and is provided with a pulling means, and a force transmission element which is connected with the pulling means and guided in axial displacement on the cylinder tube. In order to minimize the mounting work for the external attachment of the pulling means and at the same time increase the dependability of operation, the pulling means (1) is provided on the ends thereof connected to the force transmission element (2) with clamping pieces (3) which are provided with a toothed surface (5) on at least one outer side (4) and the force transmission element (2) is provided with a correspondingly toothed surface (6) against which the side (4) of the corresponding clamping piece (3) having the toothed surface (5) can be pressed via a pressing element (7). The corresponding toothed surface of the force transmission element (2) is longer than the clamping pieces (3) to allow for adjustment. The pressing element (7) and the force transmission element (2) together form an integral structure.

A valve device and method for controlling the operation of the valve device, in particular a proportionally acting solenoid valve, consisting of a valve housing in which several pressure fluid chambers provided with pressure fluid connections are present, having two valves which are arranged within the valve housing and are providing with moveable valve members, the valve members being connected to a valve rod which serves for actuation. In order to simplify the construction of the valve, and provide reliable and reproducible detection and control of the valve opening cross section, two valves members (4, 5) and (12, 13) of the two valves are arranged coaxially and are jointly connected to a valve rod (20), actuatable simultaneously with it. A pressure fluid chamber is arranged between the valves. A permanent magnet (9) is arranged on or in the valve rod (20) for detecting the position of the valve rod in such a manner that the range of the displacement path produced by actuation of the valve rod lies within the pressure fluid chamber (10). A field sensor 29 extends through the valve housing wall into the corresponding pressure fluid chamber (10).

Valve apparatus and method for controlling fluid flow

A solenoid valve battery includes in each case a solenoid valve (9), which exhibits coil contacts and can be constructed advantageously for the variation of the number of device components for the handling of connections and for cable assembly as well as with respect to its device size. A pluggable connector module (13) is furnished for the contacting of the protective grounded conductor (19), of the signal line, and of the neutral conductor (20). At least one protective grounded conductor (19) and/or a parallel running neutral conductor (20) are through-connected and running in the longitudinal extension direction (17) of the strip. The following construction is advantageous for an arbitrarily large number of electrical users disposed in a row. Several successively disposed, fixed support bodies (2) are furnished for coaxially disposed contact pins (3). The coaxially disposed contact pins (3) can be electrically connected to each other. Rotor bodies (5) are rotatably supported between, in each case, successively disposed support bodies (2). Each rotor body (5) exhibits a contact projection (6), wherein the radial distance (7) of the contact projection (6) from the support-body center longitudinal axis (4) corresponds to the radial distance of the individual contact pins (3) from the support-body center longitudinal axis (4).

A valve apparatus which contains two valve bodies oriented behind one another on a tappet. The first valve body, together with a first valve seat, forms a first valve and the second valve body, together with a second valve seat, forms a second valve. With two valve bodies rigidly connected to one another, it is possible, such as on account of manufacturing tolerances, that when the two valves are closed, one of the two valve bodies will not seat exactly on its corresponding valve seat, which means that leaks can occur. The present invention provides for at least one of the two valve seats or at least one of the two valve bodies being adjustable in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the tappet in relation either to the other valve seat or in relation to the other valve body to change the distance between the two valve seats or to change the distance between the two valve bodies.

A device is disclosed for the selective clamping of an axially moveable or rotatable cylindrical shaft. The device disclosed may be either of a spring actuated-pressure release or a pressure actuated spring release embodiment. A clamping sleeve is located coaxially surrounding the cylindrical shaft to be immobilized. The clamping sleeve is separated into clamping elements at one end by longitudinal slots in the generally cylindrical sleeve. An actuating element is also arranged coaxially to the cylindrical body and the clamping sleeve and is mounted exterior to the clamping sleeve. The clamping elements are located radially inwardly from the actuating element and are separated therefrom by a series of bearings. The bearings engage the actuating element and the clamping elements through matched sets of inclined ramp elements. Each clamping element is provided with a set of bearings and ramp elements. The ramp elements are positioned such that their inclined faces are parallel to each other and each abutting the bearing. Longitudinal movement of the actuating element urges the inclined faces together, which are restrained by the bearings therebetween. The unyielding actuation element thus urges, through the bearings, the displaceable clamping elements against the surface of the cylindrical shaft.

Shaft clamping device

A working cylinder is described which features a cylinder of compact construction. The openings provided for the tension member can be very well sealed by simple means. The tension element features a cross-section having a continuous circumferential line. The size of the cylinder is also reduced through the use of a generally elliptical piston. The tension element is preferably comprised of several plastic tension strands encased in a jacket of plastic material which also has a generally elliptical cross-sectional shape.

Working cylinder and tension member therefor

A compact fluid actuated working cylinder is disclosed having a cam driven by a piston via a flexible tension member. At the ends of the cylinder housing there are deflection pulleys for providing continuous tension for the tension member. The pulleys are each mounted on pulley supports which extend from secondary bores in the main cylinder housing. The pulley supports are spring loaded and urge the two pulleys away from the cylinder housing and each other. The pulley supports are preferably rectangular in cross-section to protect against torsion.
