Motion sensors integrated within an electro-hydraulic control unit

A pressure sensor is mounted integrally in a hydraulic valve body. The sensor has a base which extends into a bore formed in the valve body. The valve body bore is in communication with a pressurized hydraulic fluid. A first circumferential groove formed in the sensor base carries an O-ring which forms a seal between the sensor and the wall of the valve body bore. A second circumferential groove formed in the sensor base carries a spring ring which extends into a corresponding groove formed in the wall of the valve body groove. The spring ring cooperates with the sensor base and valve body bore grooves to retain the sensor in the valve body bore.

A pressure sensor is mounted upon a hydraulic valve body. The sensor has a base which extends into a bore formed in the valve body. The valve body bore is in communication with a pressurized hydraulic fluid. A cover that is removably attached to the valve body encloses the pressure sensor. A circuit substrate is disposed within the cover and electrically connected to the pressure sensor.

Pressure sensor intergrated into an electro-hydraulic control unit

An anti-locking brake system for traction control and vehicle dynamics control such that a pump for actuating a wheel brake removes brake fluid from a brake pressure generating unit and supplies it to the wheel brake. Disposed between the brake pressure generating unit and an input connection of the pump is a valve arrangement in the form of a 2-connection/3-position valve, which in a non-actuated (normal) position blocks the connection between the brake pressure generating unit and the input connection of the pump. In a first actuating position the valve arrangement establishes a secondary flow connection between the brake pressure generating unit and the input connection of the pump, and in a second actuating position establishes a primary flow connection between the brake pressure generating unit and the input connection of the pump. The primary flow connection has a larger flow cross section than the secondary flow connection.

Anti-locking brake system

In a valve arrangement with a first and a second fluid connection (,), a valve element (,) which is biased into a first position by a spring arrangement (,), in which the first and the second fluid connections (,) are blocked from each other, an actuation means (,) in order to bring the valve element (,) into a second position in which the first and the second fluid connections (,) are in a primary flow connection (A), a relatively large flow cross-section between the fluid connections is to be made, on the one hand, the force to be exerted by the actuation means, on the other hand, is to be relatively low in order to save costs, efforts, as well as installation space. For this purpose it is proposed that a further valve element (,) be provided which is biased into a first position by a further spring arrangement (,), in which the first and the second fluid connections (,) are blocked from each other, and which by means a further actuation means can be brought into a second position in which the first and the second fluid connections (,) are in a secondary flow connection (B), are initially in the secondary flow connection (B) only, and subsequently are in the primary flow connection (B) or in the first and the second flow connection (A, B), with the flow cross-section of the primary flow connection (A) being larger than the flow cross-section of the secondary flow connection (B). In a particularly preferred manner, the inventive valve arrangement is utilised in a lock-protected brake system.

The invention relates to an electromagnetic valve arrangement, preferably for a pressure medium of a vehicle braking system, comprising an electromagnet arrangement which is coupled with a valve closing means which can be brought into several positions, a housing with a first, a second, a third, and a fourth connection of which, in a first position, the first and the second connection are in flow connection with each other, and the third and the fourth connection are blocked; in a second position, the first, the second, the third, and the fourth connection are blocked; in a third position, the first and the second connection are blocked, and the third and the fourth connection are connected with each other; and in a fourth position, the first and the third connection are connected with each other, and the second and the fourth connection are blocked.

The invention relates to a hydraulic power unit for a vehicle braking system comprising an electronic controller (22, 24) arranged in a housing (12), a valve block (14) for accommodating electromagnetic valves for the control of hydraulic fluid in the braking system, and a pump motor (16) for a pump delivering a hydraulic fluid, with the housing (12) of the controller (22, 24) being connected with the valve block (14) and the pump motor (16) and is characterized in that a wall (12a) of the housing (12) at its outer surface (12a') facing the valve block (14) carries at least one solenoid (20) for the electromagnetic valves in the valve block (14).
