Infusion systems and related methods involving a catheter hub and an extension or IV administration set having a male Luer connector for fluid communication with the catheter hub. A support adaptor is provided with the extension or IV administration set and has a body with a length between first and second ends, and a body wall having a continuous wall surface in a radial direction relative to the length and which defines an exterior of the body. An internal wall of the support adaptor defines a bore with the body wall, wherein the bore has first and second openings. A tubing length is located in the bore and extends out of the second opening. The bore includes first and second bore sections. Optionally, the second bore section is angled relative to the first bore section. A support surface is located beneath the bore, elevation wise.

Infusion systems, connectors for use with catheter devices, and related methods

A medical tube clamp for clamping a flexible medical tube comprising: a tube receiving area which is adapted to receive the medical tube, a first clamping portion including a first clamping jaw which is movable relative to a second clamping portion including a second clamping jaw, and a closure system for safely positioning the two clamping portions in more than one snap-fit position relative to each other so that, when the closure system is unlocked, the medical tube can be inserted in and removed from the tube clamp, in an open snap-fit position the inserted medical tube cannot be removed and is not clamped and in a clamping snap-fit position the medical tube is clamped between the first clamping jaw and the second clamping jaw, with the first clamping jaw being configured to be elastically movable relative to the first clamping portion via a connecting member and/or the second clamping jaw being configured to be elastically movable relative to the second clamping portion via a connecting member. In addition, the invention relates to a volumetric pump.

A device for adding a medicine to an infusion solution in an infusion container having a removal opening provided with a seal area. A transfer cap, which has a first hollow spike for piercing the seal area, is connected to the removal opening of the infusion container. A receiving means for a medicine container is formed at the transfer cap, which has a second hollow spike for piercing a seal at the medicine container. A valve is arranged between the first and second hollow spikes in the transfer cap, where the valve interrupts the connection between the first and second hollow spikes and can be moved into the open position by the action of a force.

Device for introducing medicine into an infusion container

A hypodermic needle assembly configured such that the movement of a needle shield into position to block the needle tip occurs as a direct consequence of a longitudinal force applied by insertion of a syringe plunger is provided. The hypodermic needle assembly according to the present invention comprises a needle, a needle hub, and a safety spring clip assembly, the safety spring clip assembly being configured to automatically launch from the needle hub and slide along the needle until the spring clip meets a needle stop at the needle tip, thus preventing the guard from being removed from the needle shaft. A method of using the hypodermic needle assembly according to the present invention is also provided, which includes the method of launching the spring clip with a syringe having multiple advancing mechanisms.
