The disclosure relates to an inhaler component including a housing with a housing cover; a mouthpiece with a mouthpiece opening for supplying an inhalable medium into the oral cavity of a user; and a flavor reservoir communicable with the environment by diffusion, containing a flavor, wherein the flavor reservoir is formed from a porous body.

Inhaler component

The present disclosure relates to an inhaler component for producing a steam/air mixture or/and condensation aerosol in an intermittent and inhalation- or pull-synchronous manner, the inhaler component including: a housing; a chamber arranged in the housing; an air inlet opening for the supply of air from the surroundings to the chamber; an electrical heating element for evaporating a portion of a liquid material; and a wick having a capillary structure, which wick forms a composite structure with the heating element and automatically supplies the heating element with fresh liquid material after evaporation.

Inhaler

An apparatus for an electronic aerosol provision system may include a replaceable cartridge for the electronic aerosol provision system or a fixed component of a re-fillable or disposable electronic aerosol provision system. The apparatus includes a reservoir for a source liquid and a carrier module supported within the reservoir. The carrier module defines an airflow path within the reservoir and includes a heating element supported in the airflow path for generating an aerosol from the source liquid and first and second mounting parts which cooperatively engage to support the heating element. The first and second mounting parts cooperatively engage at an interface which extends in a direction substantially parallel to a direction along which air flows in the airflow path when the apparatus is in normal use. A gap between the first and second mounting parts may provide a capillary channel for drawing source liquid to the heating element from the reservoir heating during use.

Aerosol provision systems

The disclosure relates to a laminar evaporator including an electrical resistance heating element for pulse heating and evaporation of an inhalationally receivable material distributed or distributable on the heating element surface by an electric heating current flowing or flowable in a laminar manner with at least two electrical contacts or poles for introducing the heating current into the resistance heating element, wherein the resistance heating element has at least one slot-shaped recess constricting lines of flux of an original electric field forming or formable between the at least two electrical contacts or poles and comprises a porous structure having a porosity of 70% or greater holding or capable of holding the material.

Disclosed herein is a device configured to impart flavoring to an airstream admitted the device prior to the airstream reaching an aerosol generator of the device, the device thereby operable to deliver a flavored aerosol from an outlet.

Aerosol delivery device and method utilizing a flavoring reservoir

The invention relates to an inhaler component for forming a vapor-air mixture and/or condensation aerosol by vaporizing a liquid material and optionally condensing the vapor formed, including: a heating element for vaporizing a portion of the liquid material; a wick for automatically supplying the liquid material to the heating element, wherein the wick comprises at least two end sections arranged apart from each other; a first capillary gap for automatically supplying the liquid material to the wick, wherein a first end section of the wick projects into the first capillary gap. In order that the heating element can be supplied more quickly and more reliably with the liquid material, a second capillary gap is provided, which receives therein the second end section of the wick.

Disclosed herein is an aerosol delivery device including an air inlet a flavoring reservoir arranged to provide release of flavoring material to air passing therethrough; and an aerosol forming member arranged to provide an aerosol in air, wherein the aerosol forming member includes a heating element and an aerosol outlet wherein the air inlet, the flavoring reservoir, the aerosol forming member and the aerosol outlet are arranged in fluid communication in that order; wherein the flavoring reservoir is in conductive thermal communication with the heating element and wherein the flavoring reservoir is arranged at least partially about, or at least partially surrounding, the aerosol forming member.

An aerosol provision system comprises a heating element for generating an aerosol from a source liquid and control circuitry for controlling a supply of electrical power from a power supply to the heating element. The control circuitry is configured to measure an indication of a derivative of an electrical characteristic of the heating element with respect to time. Based on the measured time derivative, the control circuitry is configured to determine whether or not a fault condition has arisen for the electronic aerosol provision system. The overall change in the electrical characteristic for the heating element caused by the localized heating may be small and so difficult to reliably identify, but the rate at which the change occurs can be expected to be relatively high, such that the time derivative of the local characteristic is a more reliable indicator of occurrence of the fault condition.

Electronic aerosol provision system

An aerosol forming component for volatilizing a liquid in an aerosol delivery device is disclosed. The aerosol forming component includes a first aerosol-forming member configured to be heated up to a first operating temperature and thereafter to a second higher operating temperature, and a second aerosol-forming member configured to be heated up to at least the first operating temperature as the first aerosol-forming member reaches the second higher operating temperature so that liquid volatilized from the two aerosol-forming members mix with one another.

Aerosol forming component

An electronic vapor provision system includes a vaporizer for vaporizing liquid for inhalation by a user of the electronic vapor provision system; a power supply for supplying power to the vaporizer to vaporize the liquid in response to a user activation of the device; and a control unit configured to estimate a user's expected activation duration and cause power to be supplied to the vaporizer for a period of time shorter than a user's activation duration.

An atomizer for a vapor provision system includes a vaporization chamber having a volume; a vapor generating element disposed in the vaporization chamber for providing vapor into the vaporization chamber volume; at least one plenum chamber separated from the vaporization chamber; and an air flow path through the atomizer including a vapor collecting portion through the vaporization chamber smaller than the volume, along which air travels to collect vapor provided by the vapor generating element, and at least one transport portion through a plenum chamber, the or each transport portion delivering air to or collecting air from the vapor collection portion.

Atomizer for vapor provision device

The invention relates to an inhaler component for forming a vapor/air mixture or/and condensation aerosol by evaporation of a liquid material and, if appropriate, condensation of the formed vapor, comprising: an electric heating element for evaporating a portion of the liquid material; a wick with a capillary structure, which wick forms a composite with the heating element and automatically supplies the heating element with the liquid material; a carrier plate, preferably a printed circuit board, which carries the composite and on which the heating element is electrically contacted; a capillary gap formed at least partially by the carrier plate and automatically supplying the composite with the liquid material, by means of an end portion of the wick extending into the capillary gap; a liquid container which contains the liquid material and from which the capillary gap draws the liquid material. In order to achieve a compact overall arrangement, it is proposed that the capillary gap at least partially covers the liquid container on the outside, in a view perpendicular to the carrier plate.
