Disclosed herein is a sterilizable adapter for a cell culture vessel comprising a body, an upper connection and/or a lid, at least one port, a ventilation passage, a lower internal connection suitable for connection to a cell culture vessel and a cell retention device and/or a cell separation device as well as a device comprising said sterilizable adapter and a method for cell cultivation using said sterilizable adapter.

One-way separator for retaining and recirculating cells

The invention relates to a separator for retaining and recirculating cells in a continuous-flow or batch-flow type plastic bag or bottle, which can preferably be operated outside of a bioreactor. Additionally, the invention relates to a method for retaining and recirculating cells within or outside a bioreactor. The invention further relates to a method for producing the separator according to the invention.

The invention relates to a reactor driven in an oscillatory-rotary manner about its fixed, preferably vertical, axis, for preferably biotechnological and pharmaceutical applications. By means of its process-intensifying properties for mixing, suspension, gaseous material transport, heat transfer, irradiation and particle retention, the applicability on the industrial scale is ensured. The reactor which succeeds without a shaft seal permits particularly robust production with respect to sterile technique with avoidance of cleaning and cleaning validation required when the reactor is constructed as a single-use reactor.
