A pane with low energy transmission. The pane has a laminated structure of at least one glass sheet tinted in its mass and preferably having antisolar properties, and at least one sheet of polymer material containing a UV-absorbent, the at least one glass sheet and at least one sheet of polymer material being chosen to give a light transmission factor TL.sub.A of less than 60%, an energy transmission factor TE such that the ratio TL.sub.A /TE is greater than 1 and a transmission factor TUV less than 0.5%, the total thickness of the pane being preferably between 2.5 and 8 mm. The application of the pane, notably, as a lateral pane, rear window pane, roof or sun roof for transportation vehicle is disclosed.

Laminated pane with low energy transmission

A transparent cover layer of a soft elastic polyurethane for windshields or other transparent glass or plastic substrates. In order to give the cover layer an anti-fogging effect, the polyol component of the reaction mixture for the manufacture of the cover layer contains a difunctional sulfonated polyether polyol or a difunctional polyether polyol containing sulfonate groups having 0.5 to 13.2 percent by weight of OH groups and an average molecular weight of about 250 to 6500 g/mol, a trifunctional polyol having 5.1 to 12.8 percent by weight of OH groups and an average molecular weight of from 400 to about 1000 g/mol, as well as a non-ionic polyetherpolysiloxane having an average molecular weight of from 500 to 2000 g/mol.

Transparent cover for transparent substrates

A method for the manufacture of a laminated glass assembly comprising (1) a monolithic or laminated glass and/or plastic support having an glazed edge, and (2) a plastic sheet comprising at least one layer of polyurethane in contact with the surface having the glazed edge is disclosed. In the invention, at least one of the two contact surfaces of the glazed edge with the polyurethane layer is treated, before the assembly of the support with the plastic sheet on an area corresponding essentially to the glazed edge, by the deposit of a primer comprising a reactive mixture having free NCO groups. The free NCO groups are capable of reacting with the glazed support and with the plastic sheet and of forming cross-linking bonds with the other components of the primer at the time of the heat cycle of the subsequent assembly. The plastic sheet is the assembled with the support, and the glass undergoes a heat cycle which enables the reaction of the primer and the definitive peripheral adhesion of the glass.

Method for manufacturing laminated glasses

For production of a composite glass pane from at least one silicate glass pane and at least one layer of a transparent plastics material, the plastics layer is glued to the glass pane by means of an UV-hardening adhesive. A homogeneous solution of photopolymerizable acrylic monomers (component A), a polymer (component B) and a photoinitiator (component C) is used as the adhesive, wherein the component (A) consists of a mixture of at least one .alpha., .beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid and at least one monofunctional .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester of an alcohol comprising 2 to 10 C-atoms, possibly comprising also oxygen atoms in the form of ether groups and/or hydroxyl groups, and component (B) consists of a polymer composed entirely or predominantly of vinyl chloride, which polymer is possibly after-chlorinated. Method for production of composite glass panes and adhesive therefor

A high optical quality polyurethane coating layer, with self-repairing and fog-resistant properties, utilized for panes made of glass and/or plastic materials. The layer is formed from a reactive mixture composed 10 to 75% by weight of a biuret or an isocyanurate of 1,6 hexamethylenediisocyanate, having a content of about 15 to 25% weight of NCO radicals and having an average molecular weight between about 450 and 850 and comprised about 90 to 25% by weight of a polyalcohol component essentially comprised of a plurifunctional polyalcohol having about 0.4 to 17% of its percentage weight comprised of OH radicals, and having a molecular weight between about 200 and 15,000, and having ethoxy-propoxy chains, comprised 50 to 90% by weight of ethoxy radicals and 50 to 10% by weight of propoxy radicals.

Transparent coating layer with self-repairng and fog-resistant

A polyurethane coating layer, with self-repairing properties, for panes made of glass and/or plastic materials, which are exposed to atmospheric agents. The coating layer according to the invention is formed from a reactive mixture of a trifunctional isocyanate component such as the biurets or isocyanurates of 1,6 hexamethylenediisocyanate, having a content of about 15 to 25% by weight of NCO radicals and a polyalcohol component chosen from the plurifunctional polyester polyalcohols having about a 3 to 12% by weight content of OH radicals.

A plastic adhesive layer used as an insert layer in laminated glasses and the laminated glasses containing the insert layer, the adhesive layer comprising a polyfunctional polyol component and a polyfunctional isocyanate component, wherein the polyol component is present in considerable excess and the numerical ratio of the isocyanate groups to the hydroxyl groups is between 0.2 and 0.6. The adhesive layer is particularly useful in soundproofing glasses and in safety glasses such as bulletproofing glasses.
