Nonflammable compositions comprising fluorinated compounds selected from the group consisting of hydrofluoroalkanes, hydrofluoroalkenes, partially or perfluorinated aromatic compounds, hydrofluoroethers, and fluoroketones; 1,2-dichloroethylene, especially trans-1,2-dichloroethylene; and a stabilizer. These non-flammable compositions which preferably contain 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluorobutane, can be used especially as solvents for cleaning and defluxing electronic components and for degreasing metals. The compositions further may comprise a propellant, e.g. 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane. These compositions are especially suitable as flushing agent.

Nonflammable compositions comprising fluorinated compounds and use of these compositions

A composition which comprises or consists of more than 75 to less than 80 wt. % of pentafluoroethane (HFC-125); more than 17 to less than 22.7 wt. % of 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a); and more than 2.3 to less than 3.0 wt. % of n-butane (R600).

Refrigerant composition

The invention relates to non-flammable compositions comprising fluorinated compounds selected from the group consisting of hydrofluoroalkanes, hydrofluoroalkenes, partially or perfluorinated aromatic compounds, hydrofluoroethers or fluoroketones, 1,2-dichloroethylene, especially trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, and a stabilizer. A process for inhibiting the corrosion of metals, in which the metals are treated with anti-corrosion agents, corrosion inhibiting agents or metal treating agents which are composed of or which contain lactobionic acid N-alkylamides and/or lactobionic acid alkylamine amides and/or di-lactobionic acid alkyl diamides, in which the saturated or unsaturated alkyl group bonded to the amide function has a chain length of more than 18 carbon atoms.

Process for treating metals using anti-corrosion agents and corrosion

Corrosion prevention compositions which contain lactobionic acid N-alkylamides, and further having a pH below 9.0, are described. In particular, lactobionic acid N-alkylamides in which the saturated or unsaturated alkyl group bonded via the amide function has a chain length of 8 to 18 carbon atoms show a good corrosion-inhibiting action. The use of lactobionic acid N-alkylamides in corrosion prevention compositions and metalworking compositions is also described.

Corrosion preventing composition comprising lactobionic acid amides

Corrosion prevention compositions which contain lactobionic acid N-alkylamides are described. In particular, lactobionic acid N-alkylamides in which the saturated or unsaturated alkyl group bonded via the amide function has a chain length of 8 to 18 carbon atoms show a good corrosion-inhibiting action. The use of lactobionic acid N-alkylamides in corrosion prevention compositions and metalworking compositions is also described.
