A conductive adhesive, such as an anisotropic conductive adhesive, comprising a population of conductive particles and a population of signal particles in an adhesive; wherein both the conductive particle population and the signal particle population have an average particle diameter of &#x3c;200 &#x3bc;m with a coefficient of variance of &#x3c;10%; wherein the signal particles are arranged to provide an indication when they are deformed to a pre-determined height; and wherein the conductive particles are arranged such that they will not fail, e.g. crack or fracture, when deformed to a height larger than or equal to the pre-determined height at which the signal particles are arranged to provide the indication.

Conductive adhesives

An isotropic conductive adhesive having silver coated polymer beads within an adhesive matrix and a method of forming an isotropic conductive adhesive are disclosed. The mean average diameter of the polymer cores of the beads is less than 30 &#x3bc;m, and the silver coating comprises interlinked silver deposits grown from dispersed nucleation sites scattered across the surface of the beads.

Isotropic conductive adhesive

A heat-treated polymer particle comprising an addition polymer core particle which has had swollen and polymerized therein a blend of an aromatic alcohol with an aldehyde or a blend of an aromatic amine or urea with an aldehyde and which has been subsequently heat treated, e.g. to a temperature of at least 150&#xb0; C.

Polymer particle

A design and a manufacturing method of ultrasound transducers based on films of ferro-electric ceramic material is presented, the transducers being particularly useful for operating at frequencies above 10 MHz. The manufacturing technique can involve tape-casting of the ceramic films, deposition of the ceramic films onto a substrate with thick film printing, sol-gel, or other deposition techniques, where manufacturing methods for load matching layers and composite ceramic layers are described. The designs also involve acoustic load matching layers that provide particularly wide bandwidth of the transducers, and also multi-band operation of the transducers. The basic designs can be used for elements in a transducer array, that provides the frequency characteristics of the single element transducers, for array steering of the focus and possibly also direction of a pulsed ultrasound beam at high frequencies and multi-band frequencies.

High frequency ultrasound transducers based on ceramic films

The present invention teaches a method, system and units for measuring changes in blood during a longer period of time in vivo with a patient by measuring diffusivity of solvent. A differential pressure sensor is arranged on a silicon wafer or beam comprising resistors being in communication with fluids in two chambers via semipermable membranes enabling measuring of two components in said blood by tracking changes over time.

The invention relates to a needle bolder, for use in combination with a syringe and a needle, characterized in that the needle holder is provided with an expandable element and with retention means for the expandable element, so that contact of the expandable element with an injection causes expansion of the expandable element and, as a consequence retraction of the needle into the needle holder. The invention relates too to a syringe comprising said needle holder.
