An elevator safety system comprises a plurality of door safety units, each door safety unit; a communication bus connecting the plurality of door safety units; a control unit connected to the communication bus for allowing communication between the plurality of door safety units and the control unit; and at least one position sensor configured for providing information about the current position of an elevator car within a hoistway. Each door safety unit is assigned to an elevator hoistway door and configured for monitoring a condition of the assigned elevator hoistway door. The control unit is configured for polling door safety units included in a subset S, S) of the door safety units which are located within a predetermined distance (DD) from the current position of the elevator car.

Elevator safety system, elevator system and method of operating an elevator system

Elevator systems and methods are provided. The systems include a traveling component movable along a guide rail within an elevator shaft, an elevator machine operably connected to the traveling component and including a machine brake, and an overspeed safety system. The overspeed safety system includes a safety brake and an electromechanical actuator, the brake engageable with the guide rail. A safety system controller operably connects to the electromechanical actuator and triggers the electromechanical actuator due to at least a detected triggering event. A temporary power supply is operably connected to the overspeed safety system to provide power in the event of a power failure.

A holding device for a suture ring is provided. The holding device may include a retainer in which a suture ring can be releasably fixed, in particular clamped, and a handle which is connected to the retainer and which has an actuating mechanism for fixing and/or releasing a connection between the retainer and the suture ring. By means of the holding device, a suture ring can be fixed in the retainer such that a tubular part and/or object can be pushed into the suture ring without exerting forces on the tissue to which the suture ring is connected.

A heart pump device may be provided with an implantable heart pump, which has at least one sensor, wherein at least one of the sensors is a sensor for a rotor of the heart pump, and with a control device, which is connected to the heart pump by means of a transcutaneous line, characterized by a signal processing device, which on the one hand is connected by means of the transcutaneous line to the control device, and which on the other hand is connected to at least one sensor of the heart pump and transmits signals of at least one sensor via the transcutaneous line to the control unit. The signal processing device may be for a pre-processing of the sensor data for more efficient transmission via the transcutaneous line.
