A capacitor includes an anode body and a housing having a base surface. The housing encloses the anode body at least partially. The capacitor also includes an anode connector and an anode contact that extends outward from an interior of the anode body. The anode contact has a flat side. The anode connector includes a surface containing a soft-solderable material, and a segment running along the base surface of the housing that forms a soldering surface.

A method produces an anti-wetting barrier on an electrode that is connected to an anode of an electrolytic capacitor. The method includes applying drops of a fluid anti-wetting agent to the electrode to form the anti-wetting barrier. The drops arc applied at intervals so that the anti-wetting barrier is linear after the anti-wetting agent dries.

A method of producing an anode for a capacitor, which includes the steps of molding a continuously deformable material onto a flat anode conductor and simultaneously externally shaping the material, and solidifying the material to form an anode body.

The anode for a capacitor has a flat anode conductor with a large-area connection to an anode body. That end of the anode conductor which leads out of the anode body is bent to form a terminal connector. Three different processes for working with a paste, a green film, and a powder are proposed for the production of the anode body.
